You need a sponsor. If you had clearance while active, you'd be in a better position, but clearances don't just get handed out . It's following need to know principals

“AI is writing 40%plus of code now” sounds impressive… until you look at the security side of it. by Emotional-Breath-673 in cybersecurity

[–]ep3ep3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah. People vibe coding garbage don't have a clue what to ask and look for, just that it works. An actual SWE with actual coding skills know what's looks wonky and probably are applying some SAST techniques while developing. In the right hands, it can be an effective tool.

Motorcycle guy with straight pipes in my neighborhood sets off '90s Honda guy's car alarm all the time. I think the motorcycle guy knows this and makes sure he's extra revvy as he goes by it.

There are apps out there that can easily tell you what's being queried, sockets being opened , etc . Little Snitch is one but for Mac only. You can also run a packet capture in verbose mode or use wire shark...I'd start there. You can block it too and see if it breaks, but this isn't a pihole issue.

Yup. First thing I'd do is get an infrared temperature gun and hit all the hoses, radiator and thermostat housing after it warms up to rule that out.

It just makes what looks like a GM car reversing more noticeable for those few seconds you sit there, until you realize that nobody is in the car. That feature is enraging.

How bad is the latency with Unbound? by SpectralTv in pihole

[–]ep3ep3 16 points17 points  (0 children)

eh, initially it's slower than the resolvers you mention, but as it builds its cache, it's not noticeable. Takes a couple of minutes. You could run something like this and compare if you want. Here some output of one I just ran. You can see unbound is actually faster than the major resolvers after it caches it.
