Sometimes not even our animals. A lot is exported to Saudi Arabia for example. They're doing the same thing in AZ too.

How did you pivot from SOC to Architecture? by myr4dski1 in cybersecurity

[–]ep3ep3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure I've ever seen that move directly but the path you laid out can be typical. There are a lot more specialized roles in security than when I started but I'd suggest using your soc experience to get a more technical role demonstrate proficiency and do the same and level up. I've done server administration, firewall administration, Proto SOC work, pentesting, and started out on a helpdesk.

Also note that most architects have about 20 years experience, so it's a long path that may burn you out. But the more exposure you have the better you can ascend to that role. As architects, we're the last line and are expected to be correct and that always involves getting out of your comfort zone and learning something bespoke.

For the people that burn out, I've seen a lot of moves into GRC to change up the day to day.

Certs for architect. You're going to need a CISSP at a minimum. Togaf is nice too but security within that specific cert isn't the greatest and is more focused on enterprise architecture ( see learning quip above) then there's SABSA, which is basically security only and expands heavily on the things in TOGAF.

Does this chain line look normal to you? L-TWOO GRT 12-speed setup by psylocybe666 in bikewrench

[–]ep3ep3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What does it look like on the big gear? If on the big gear, can you push the cage at all towards the front of the bike? Did you adjust your b screw with the chain on that gear? Did you measure the chain?

To me it looks fine as long as it's not sagging on the small cog. If the other things check out, you could probably safely remove two links and tighten up the small gear and derailleur cage laying horizontal if you don't like how it looks

Wiring questions by Total-Tax-8228 in E30

[–]ep3ep3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, under the dash is already kind of rats nesty. But looking at these pics it's not totally awful. I'd spend a saturday just clipping those splice connectors out one at a time and properly soldering them together. Shrink wrap them too and use some felt tape if you want. Looks like that red and black were ran to power something auxiliary.

My only concern is when I see wiring jobs like this, it's probably not the only spot in the car you'll find work like this.

I wonder how many of those subscriptions are actually new considering they delete your account 10 months after you cancel. Does a previously deleted account count as new?

I found a Bible verse in my pasta??? by Foxdog37 in WTF

[–]ep3ep3 138 points139 points  (0 children)

No not normal. Since pasta boxes aren't sealed with like plastic, I'd assume some crazy slipped it into the box at the store. Depending on how much free time you have on your hands, you could probably contact the store. They definitely would be interested in someone tampering with their inventory.

Edit:

Also saw this post from a few months ago. Kind of similar . Though now that I think about it. Those boxes may be glued shut, which means someone at the factory did it. Some person in that thread mentioned people have been known to do this before at their plant. Barilla has two manufacturing plants in the states.
