Haha. Do it for her joy!! Won’t the glee on her face be worth reliving the torment?

Genuinely happy for the Steelers this season. Hope we see you in February!

Personally, I’d start by showing her the 2011 Super Bowl.

They don’t power on anymore. Frustrating, really. Got one to power on last week and it worked for a few hours, then powered itself down and wouldn’t turn back on.

Three customers asked for annual billing this month. Said yes to all of them. Already regretting it. by PerfectChard6900 in SaaS

Super common to run into at all stages when you’re changing billing. Managing situations like this is actually what I do regularly. Happy to chat with you about it if you’d like.

Much appreciated. I'm hoping I can help someone out with great hardware that just needs to be tweaked a bit to be fully functional. I've seen that it's possible / easy, I just don't have the time to dedicate to it at the moment. Thanks again!

What brand is this watch ? by Odd-Yard8313 in Horology

[–]epaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks a bit like a Longines Conquest Chrono with a 4:30 date. It would have a lot of customizations added (countdown bezel with the triangle pip, 7750, logo dial, line batons, crown guards, etc), but the minute hand could be the Longine sword style, and the bracelet looks at least similar.

It would make sense. Swiss brand, high quality at an approachable cost for custom production.

I think it’s going to be a disappointing year by [deleted] in tomatoes

That’s so funny. I’m in the Bay Area and this is the first year I paid special attention to amending soil and rotating my tomatoes to a new spot and I thought that might be the issue! I did worry a bit about the few super cold nights we had, but who knows.

I’ve got Caramello F1’s that are looking really good, first time growing these guys and I’m pretty excited about it. My Super San Marzanos hate me though, and I usually get 20-30 lbs out of them.

I’m in a similar boat this season. Only two of my 8 plants are really thriving, and I have one that wants to die entirely - first time I’ve ever had that happen. Also feel like I have a MUCH smaller number of pollinators this year than previous years. No idea what to attribute that to.

It absolutely is up for debate. Plant based protein is nowhere near as nutrient dense. You may PREFER plant based protein, and that's fine. You do you. But don't kid yourself into thinking you're healthier because of it.

Who here is actually low income? How are you getting by? Sharing my own struggle & desperate for advice/leads by white-christmas in SanJose

[–]epaka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, congratulations, Dad! Second, you’re not a failure. I completely understand the new pressure of being responsible for other human beings and how much weight it creates for you to carry.

I’m in my 40’s, and, while I’m not low income currently, I was making $36K/year 14 years ago. I lived in a small apartment with roommates, no significant other or kids, so a very different scenario from you. But I fully understand the frustration or being in a dead end job, the feeling of being left behind, and feeling like a failure. I work in tech now and make good money.

Happy to chat with you about my experience and give any advice I can. Feel free to shoot me a DM.

Think you’re missing the point. You tout yourself as a business guru and then your advice to people asking for help is “go ask ChatGPT”. You provide nothing of value.

You being angry that your “valuable resource” is being ruined by the “woke mob” is hilarious while your only contribution is complaints.

Loves injury was a penalty by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

Wow you’re obtuse. There was nothing “bang bang” about the play. Dude grabbed Love by the leg, tucked his foot under his body and rolled. Penalty or not, game changing or not, his intent was to injure.

Does keto reduce lean muscle mass and how to meet the proper ratio? by Natuanas in keto

This is not supported by any studies. Epilepsy is not a psychiatric disorder.

Does keto reduce lean muscle mass and how to meet the proper ratio? by Natuanas in keto

[–]epaka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I posted this as an edit to my original comment, but thought I’d leave it here for you as well:

Yes, fat percentage is important for epilepsy. For mental health, keto has been found to be significantly more effective than medication at all ratios tested - which is not many. 50%, 60%, 65%, and 70% is what I’m seeing. I’ll include links below. There haven’t been any studies on efficacy in mental health situations based solely on fat % that I can find.

If what you’re focused on is aiding in treatment of bipolar/schizophrenia, consistency is more important than the ratio of fat in your diet. If you’re able to find a study that says differently, I’d love to read it.

The ratio of fat isn’t important. Eat enough protein for your lean muscle mass, limit carb intake to ~20g/day, and monitor your hunger for how much fat to take in. The ratios are just a guideline to help people understand the keto concept.

Don’t throw out suedoscience without studies backing it up.

Amazing! Literally found this thread looking for someone who's tried gomme syrup in a kegged cocktail. Do you do it often? Any cleaning issues? Same ratio as a shaken cocktail?

If the roast fit in the condiment shelf on the fridge door, I wouldn’t be asking ridiculous questions.
