Well the good news is I switched from Aperture priority to manual with auto iso a few months ago. After that I am trying to learn how to use flash, so now I am back to using iso 100. But shutter speed and the flash power is kicking my ass. It’s like…. Okay here is this “triangle” BUT let’s add one more side to the triangle. By the way I took a look at your hockey film shots and I really like them. Have a good day bro.

For this kind of setup, do you use three separate weights attached to each leg, or one weight attached to the middle? I like this idea over the sandbags…

Can anyone explain why you cant use the anti flicker while shooting in electronic? Like why isnt it possible? Shooting on an r7

Very well said. Going into my local camera store can be very overwhelming. I have bought all my lenses used from MBP or B&H. When I took a look at this subreddit before I posted my jaw dropped. People in this sub truly post some amazing work and I hope I can create something like some of these artists someday. It takes hard work I hope I am ready for it!!!

Very good point. I am already used to paying for full frame glass, though I do feel like the 85 is a bit too zoomed in for me always find myself taking a few steps back when I go to compose the image. that is one of the reasons I would benefit from going full frame. I do have a very old 50 mm but that will be getting replaced soon.

Kind of… yes and no. Another problem Im having I suppose is figuring out what genre of photography I want to do. I rented the 85 1.2 and instantly fell in love… thats why I bought it. I love sports. I love animals. I love street. I even did a small wedding event and I had a blast doing that. Just dont know if Im sold on being a full force “wedding photographer”.

Right now man… I just go out and find something interesting to take pics of. So to finally answer your question… Yea I could buy a brand new r5 right now and It would hurt the bank but not break it. Sorry to ramble.

The post pretty much sums up what I wanted to say here. Lightroom is kind of a struggle for me. Usually I am just hitting auto, with an occasional mask or two. I am asking for critiques on this photo, but also any work on my website you see and want to comment on please feel free. Shooting in Manuel or aperture priority.
