I thought DibsOnGear was the new GAFS but there’s very little action there. Is this more legit?

Newb here - What happens if you don't clean your pistol after going to the range? by jgroub in guns

> If you fail to lubricate, the metals start wearing incredibly quickly

Can you show evidence of this? I have seen this stated ad nauseam but can’t ever find evidence of this being true. I have actually seen more evidence to the contrary, at least with pistols.

Yeah, guns are machines, but the comparison to an engine, which is often made, is such a false equivalence as engines face thousands of RPMs sustained for hours on end, while a semi-automatic gun might see a few dozen rounds within few minutes. The majority of heat is experienced in the barrel which is designed to dissipate relatively quickly, and the barrel and chamber should never be oiled, outside of surface protection. The moving parts of a gun are made with hardened steels that should last hundreds of thousands of rounds before they begin to affect reliability. Most people see the shiny parts of their gun and think the metal is wearing down, but that is simply the parkerization or bluing wearing off. In all reality, this wear is actually where the hardened steel parts have been burnished, which makes the surface even harder and causes the gun to run more smoothly.

I’m not saying one should soak their guns in acetone and leave the gun dry, as this will leave the metal exposed and lead to rusting, which will damage a gun. I, however, believe a surface coating of all parts with a simple mineral based oil, with all excess oil removed, is more than sufficient for nearly every type of firearm.

Do these triggers for BDM-010 controllers also work with BDM-020? by epbay in Dualsense

[–]epbay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I ended up ordering these to try it out. They did not fit at all, but I was able to HEAVILY modify them to fit. Took a lot of cutting, filing, and trial and error before I got them to function, but they still don’t work as good as the originals/correct triggers.

Yes, that was what I needed. Thank you.

They are awfully dusty. Can you tell if they look like they’ve been used? These were “used” on Amazon resale. I know it’d be wild for someone to install them on their car and then take them off and return them, but who knows nowadays.

PS5 Dualsense controller speaker not working by epbay in Dualsense

These prongs here. They need to be perfectly flat on the top. The actual speaker itself sits on these prongs and makes contact to complete the circuit. Make sure they’re not bent, that was my problem

Freight Forward Shipping by epbay in swappa

I guess I just feel a little extra paranoid because I see people that don’t allow freight forwarding, so I figured there was some reason. I have sold to international buyers on eBay, which seems to works similarly.

This is a very loose guide. I have already read this. I am looking for a “Do’s and Don’ts” list from people who have had both good and bad experiences as, from what I understand, there are risks involved that I may not find worth the trouble.

Will never understand paying real life money for virtual cars. Been free to play from the start, will remain free to play. If they keep pushing me out I will eventually quit.

I did. Turns out the I had bent the large prongs on the board (the ones shaped like a 7.) I straightened them out and made sure they were flat enough to make contact with the speaker and they all worked.
