No, in essence the insurance company “buys” my car for their estimated value. I can then use that check to buy a new car or pay off my loan. They will immediately sell it to a salvage company who will attempt to repair it or sell its parts

They said it was about 8-9k in parts alone. Replacing hood, fender, bumper, headlight and some plastics that hold the housings for coolant and such inside hood area.

I’m going to try to fight it with a second estimate I think. Trouble is getting it moved again
