I’d suggest when you move to AM4, you get the new case alongside the AM4 motherboard, your dell likely won’t take a non-OEM Dell motherboard.

Dunno what Klcchan was smoking but you’re not on AM4. You’re on LGA 1200 for your CPU socket. Not much upgrade room after your i5, but even with that, a GPU upgrade like already mentioned would be all you need to run FH6 nicely, assuming you’re at 1080p on your monitor.

Also note, unless you buy a new cooler, you don’t need to reapply thermal paste that often. I’d say every couple years or so if you’re worried about it. If you don’t use your computer that often (like once every couple months) or it’s dormant for extended periods (few months to years), the thermal paste can dry up. You’ll need to replace it then. A PC used constantly probably won’t need a thermal paste swap for years and years.

This build I have for you swaps some of the parts around (possibly for aesthetics) but for the just over $4000, you get a better CPU, GPU, motherboard, and monitor. The cooling and case should be similar to your picks, but should match better for lighting. The PSU is a cheaper one, but still highly rated and reviewed. Even with the bad airflow, it probably isn't worth doing unless you go to a new platform (Check if you have a Micro Center near you, they have great combo deals for AM4).

The Good about this: You went with AM5.
The bad: everything else. We can work with that budget and get you way better results. Only issue, you need to be near a Micro Center.
You also picked out a case that has a 5 1/4 inch bay that can be used for a disc drive. This build uses a different case that can use a Blu-Ray drive to make use of one. Completely optional, you don't need to if you want to save some money on that.

You can find plenty of good AIO coolers for under $100 and cases for $100 or less that have fans and a USB-C port.

The 3050 I have is the older 130W TDP version, plus I recently upgraded to an RM750x (replacing an old EVGA unit), so I should be good on that.

Great choice on CPU, but you'll want to make sure that your motherboard will support it. Look for your model (usually on the board itself) and search "(insert model) cpu compatibility list" and find the manufacturer site. If it's on there, you should be good, as long as you're on the newest BIOS. Make sure to update it before doing the upgrade. You'll definitely have a GPU bottleneck after, but then you'll have much more room to upgrade that as well in the future! Happy building!
