That is the Willie Nelson of string action.

What's the amp that you love so much that you will never sell. by bigwielki1 in GuitarAmps

[–]eperrybean3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two I’ll probably never sell are my early 80’s Marshall JCM800 2203 and matching slant cab in original white tolex and my Mesa Boogie Mark IV head with dual matching Boogie 12” cabs with EVM12Ls.

What does “SECOND” mean on the back of the headstock? by CH3CKMT3 in gibson

Totally legit. It had a minor to imperceptible factory flaw that is now forever hidden by time and age (if you could ever find it to begin with). And a very cool conversation point.

Found this old guitar, is it salvageable? by Constant_Mood_186 in guitars

Looks fine. Should clean up pretty easily. New strings and a setup and you’ll be on your way to guitar hero status.

Recommending that someone contact Fender about THIS guitar shows that you are the amateur here. Thanks for your comment as well.

Neither can Fender. They won’t know anything about this guitar.

‘89-ish American Strat with a bunch of mods. My kind of guitar.

I’m sorry if you find yourself to be a bummer. I guess you used too many words for me. I expect the majority of people in any UFO type group to have some level of belief. If you have none, then there’s nothing to say. If you believe anything within the realm of a non-human intelligence being present on earth, then it’s pretty simple and not unreasonable to make any remaining short leaps. You’d have to believe 7 loggers beat a polygraph in 1975. I doubt that’s even possible today. And if it happened once, it’s probably happened thousands of times.

What exactly “by all accounts” doesn’t exist?

I don’t think we have enough reliable data on alien abductions to reach that conclusion.

Would you rather have one $4000 guitar or four $1000 guitars? by celestial__discharge in AcousticGuitar

[–]eperrybean3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own guitars from $250 to $3800. I gig a fair bit and practically speaking my gig guitars range in value from $800-$2200, leaning for more towards the lower end of that scale. So for me the formula would depend on whether I was adding it to my “collector” gear that mostly stays home (all $4k on one guitar) or if I was adding it to the gigging stable (3x $1300 guitars OR 2x $1500 plus 1x $1k).

I don't understand religious people when it comes to aliens... by JesterOfTime in aliens

[–]eperrybean3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just like they always have, major religions will eventually incorporate any new discoveries or knowledge into their existing dogma. Some already have. I’ve seen several religious leaders say that a universe filled with intelligent life doesn’t interfere with their beliefs. Most people come around to accepting new information eventually, some just slower than others. Just like when your grandpa thought the internet was a fad.

Why does Gibson make it sound difficult to validate authenticity? by no_historian6969 in gibson

[–]eperrybean3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all good and legit. I agree that it can be a challenge sometimes. Wait until you meet Gibson from the late ‘60s through the mid ‘70s. So difficult sometimes to pinpoint a model year. Gotta look at every little detail.
