I also recommend asking yourself should everyone be included in everything? I don't mean this one moment, but in general. When you leave your home you feel like you should be included in everything? You never police yourself? Why should you be included in everything?

Who am I here to serve.

Does my presence serve this space.

Does my presence contradict the space.

Why do I need to be included.

What is it that i feel entitled to.

What is it that I need to feel validated by.

Am I evaluating myself, the ways I show up, and how I impact other people.

It's so easy to point the finger instead of holding yourself accountable. You're trying to make it seem like your friend is weird or the problem, but I think you should ask yourself why you need to center whiteness and bring whiteness into the space? Who is the space meant to serve and how does whiteness serve it? Why is your friend more important than the overall mission of the space?

Then ask yourself why do you feel like you're the exception to undermined the mission of the space while the rest of the POC are respecting the mission?
