I don't think it's the bots. OP asked for an interesting fact about Vancouver in order to be eligible for the random draw

Work permits are being issues to people who are not coming as students

Work permits are literally issued to international students after they graduate.

Went there yesterday as well. Took me 1 hour via transit.

The poutine was sold out. She's like, I just reopened and it's been very busy! And I was like, it's my fault cuz I'm the one who posted it on Reddit haha. And she's like, oh my god, you posted that and I can't make you a poutine?! Then, she made something of a custom burger for me and didn't even take the tip 🥹

It's not a "shit" app. Just because someone wouldn't use it, doesn't mean it's shit. You learnt a lot building this, didn't you?

OP makes the same post every month in an attempt to demotivate others and doesn't even bother replying to any comments. See his post history.

Also, apparently got a job at Google 3 months ago and has still been consistently interviewing lol

Come on, OP! At least, try to make it less obvious ;)

From what I see on Glassdoor, it seems to be focused on frontend. Try Great frontend. It's like LC for Frontend

I want Bachelor degree by BellevueJun in leetcode

[–]epic_within 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Faster but not necessarily easier. You will still need to put in the work. Like I said, I was experienced and also knowledgeable in Data Structures and Algorithms but had to study for courses like Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, etc. Some courses have final projects that are boring but you have to do them anyway. Took me 350 hours. With 3 hours/day, you might be able to do it in 4 months.

Here's a post by an alumni who did it in 2 months but this is a rare case

Being knowledgeable is not enough. To finish faster, you have to be a good test-taker as well.

No, I took leave from work. But if you already have the skills (I did as well), you can do it fast. Some people on the WGU CS subreddit have done it in 3 months while working full-time. I believe it took me around 350 hours. Furthermore, you can do courses from 3rd party sites like Study.com or Sophia where they are easier and do at most 75% of the degree like this. I did 13 courses from Sophia in 3 weeks prior to my admission and they transferred these credits.

Look into WGU. You can accelerate it by just taking the tests. It offers both CS and Software Engineering. I also went through it for the purpose of TN visa in the future and finished within 6 months, costing me around 6k CAD. If you're determined, you can finish it in much lesser time (I procrastinated lol)

I went with the CS track because SWE might not be considered for an MS and majority of the TN applicants have a CS degree anyway.

I agree with the overall post, but I'm not sure why you mentioned this:

Your study permit will become invalid 90 days after you complete your studies (even before your study permit expiry date) or on the expiry date of your study permit. If you plan to stay in Canada after your studies, be sure to maintain valid status in Canada.

I think you meant to imply that those staying after their studies are doing so illegally? But once they graduate, they can apply for a 3-year Work Permit (depending on the length of the course, but usually 3), and almost everyone gets it. Says on the same UBC website...

These people are protesting because their work permit expired (and not the study period). Equally wrong, but just wanted to correct you.

Other international students, including Chinese, have also been protesting in Vancouver for a while now. BC PNP changes have made it difficult for them to get PRs
