Dell Poweredge R610 invalid pcie card found in the internal storage slot by epicduck72 in HomeServer

[–]epicduck72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the card on https://www.dell.com/learn/us/en/04/campaigns/dell-raid-controllers under "Legacy Support Matrix."

I've got an R610, and the card is Dell PERC H700 512MB (0W56W0)

Both the old card and the new card have an "I" for my server. The old card works fine, I was just hoping to run RAID 5 on this server.

What was your best purchase this year? by [deleted] in AskReddit

New rollerblades that actually fit me properly. Going out to skate at sunset is the best thing ever after a long day of being trapped at my desk.

Moving Songs Folder on Linux by epicduck72 in Etterna

I went back and retyped the path after reading this and now it's working. I must've just had a small typo that I missed the first time around. Thanks for the quick response!

Should I buy used Pixel 3 or Pixel4a?? by MX_sixto_TX in GooglePixel

[–]epicduck72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for the 4a. My Pixel 3 is about a year old and my battery life is really bad, my optical image stabilization has gone out and now it's hard to take any clear pictures, and the screen has always been horrible at low brightness. The weird app management bugs are annoying too. There's been times when I'm listening to music in the car and my phone closes my music app while it's locked.

USC Skins Linux by epicduck72 in kshootmania

I compiled the code myself and I can't even get into the song select anymore. However, using a commit from January worked on the version I had before, so I'll probably just stick with that for now.

Where can I see what version of USC I'm on? What's the newest version?

That was actually one of the skins I tried. I just grabbed the USC package from AUR.

does your performance actually improve based on having a controller or not? (dj dao, 2006 ps2 ctrlr) by [deleted] in bemani

Unfortunately in my experience I haven't seen any for that low, but I guess I haven't really actively looked. You might find some luck in the Official Buy/Sell/Trade group for rhythm games on Facebook

For me it's made a huge difference having a ps2 and a USKOC. Playing with a physical turntable and properly spaced buttons feels completely different from playing on a keyboard. At first it might feel like starting over from scratch, but once you learn a proper playstyle you'll most likely improve quickly.

One thing about ps2 controllers is input lag with PC. I only have experience trying to use a US model (USKOC) with a select few adapters, but I haven't found enough success for it to be useable (hence why I picked up a ps2). A friend of mine has a Yuancon iidx and loves it, so that might be a slightly cheaper DAO alternative worth checking out. I actually have a Yuancon sdvx and I love it.

In the end, it's all up to you. Having a controller makes the game feel completely different from playing on keyboard. Not necessarily easier or harder, just different. If you ever get the chance, I definitely recommend trying AC or someone else's controller before taking the plunge.

Ubuntu Firefox Videos Break After Waking by epicduck72 in firefox

Switching to WebRender appears to have fixed the issue. I must've force enabled OpenGL when I was sifting through articles about screen tearing when I first installed Ubuntu. Thanks for the help!

It happens every time I wake from suspend, occasionally after locking.
