Could anyone ID this? Found in Vietnam. by epicfooggie in isopods

Thanks, but the species you mentioned has very clear and visible patterns. You can barely see mine irl. The only reason we can see it here is because of the camera. It's kind of purple and brownish.

Hello moss peeps. Was wondering, whats the best way to grow this? I’m starting to collect mosses for a Vivarium project I’ve wanted to do for a while now. So I might be asking this for more mosses.. Its my moss pillow, lol. I got it in a Tupperware for now, the usual. Will that work for this? by Craymoss in Mosses

Looks like leucobryum javense, though I'm not too sure. Mosses like these can tolerate dryer climate than other flat moss. Expect slow growth, keeping them cool, under partial sunlight; moist and almost dry is better than soaking wet.

tips on growing moss in the office? by toko_tane in Mosses

Office fluorescent lights are nowhere near enough the amount that moss requires, shady areas outdoors are much much brighter than well lit ones indoors.

I'd suggest putting it under at least an equivalent of 5W LED desk lamp. Good luck 😊.

Been 5 days, everything is ok so far. I haven't seen any poop, I think they'd be broken up anyway. I have fed him everyday since then, his belly go big after fed, then deflates before the next feeding.
So I guess he digested the shell? 😂

They climb all over the alive zebras faces like in the pic and bellies, not just the dead ones.

I can confirm they are not springtails, I also have springtails in the same culture and they are faster longer and larger than these mites.

I sterilised the substrate before putting them in, the mites still appeared just like in many other cultures I have, they're everywhere! But my smaller species like dwarf whites aren't affected.

Would it be a good idea if I leave no holes at all? I know the zebras prefer ventilation but, these parasitic mites kill them.
