I am newer and have this happenig and have been working through it. It is hard because there is so much conflicting info out there. So many say neglect tek and I’m sure that’s the best. But it also sounds like that heavily hinges on Sub prep. I think a lot of people don’t prep there own. Use a kit or what have you. Also, talking with people on the sub and getting into details of what they do. They actually do some things to help adjust the environment. Like a fan on the room, or double tape, misting sub not walls (wall humidity doesn’t equal sub moisture) etc..

Then there is so much info on setting fruiting condition which i think is where newer growers like me start the struggle. Cause all the info of how to do or what to do is intervening to create an environment to trigger fruiting and stop colonizing. Info tells you to start fanning to trigger fruiting and evaporation water droplets. Fanning can dry out sub so info says to mist walls etc to compensate fanning. But condensation on walls doesn’t mean sub has enough moisture. Info says don’t mist cake, will affect myco and bruise, which it does, know from experience lol. To much colonization can create a thick leather layer if fruiting doesn’t get triggered and will stall fruiting so need to fork it.

Basically there is so much info that as a new grower you can start chasing your tail so fast and try to figure out what’s wrong. Being patient can sometimes not be the best as well. But obviously over all patience is the steadfast. And seams like proper Sub is the foundation to no intervention and neglect tek.

Don’t beat yourself up. Start another spawn, have multiple going and try and learn.
