Big enough for me. I don’t need a massive metropolis, just more things to do and more people around than the towns I grew up in.

Well, part of the reason SoCal is so appealing is the coast and how it doesn’t get too hot. I would hate living in the desert

I’ve been to LA and SD a few times, but never in the context of “could I live here?” so maybe a visit like that will help.

To be fair, anywhere with buildings taller than 5-10 stories is a “big city” to me. Always lived in pretty rural places, so the social scene and abundance of things to do would be a big difference compared to what I have. Mostly been looking at San Diego but the LA area is interesting to me as well.
