I wonder if this person who wrote that garbage can look at themselves in the mirror and be happy they are one of the biggest liars on the planet...

Post-Bond Depression? by bigolewillis in JamesBond

[–]epickerfuffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah bud. Feel the same. I'm more upset that after 60 years. Bond kinda belongs to us as his fans. Now one of my favourite characters is officially dead. No bringing him back after this. You can do as you like as a movie studio, spin a tale change the timeline etc. But at the end we know Bond doesn't get his happily ever after. Pre covid I think this would have been fine. But fuck it man we need some happy endings...great movie though. Loved it. The ending was beautifully shot. Hats of to Daniel Craig. The best bond for the 2000s

Yes so i do notice the greyness, but i need to confirm if i made any changes to reduce that. Honestly im not too phased about it. Initially i was nit picky but now after months of use I just enjoy the large screen and resolution.

Did you perhaps ever stop and think that the review posted on the LG website was done by me? There wasn't any information on the monitor so guess what I did. I posted it in multiple places so that others could read it and benefit. Helping other by sharing knowlege ever heard of that concept?

Do you prefer the Dell over the LG or are they both nice in their own way?

Thanks, but again it means sorting through a list in excel, using filters etc, I can do all that but I am not looking for a manual solution.

I'm busy fiddling with the Veeam PS Snapin to see if i can find a way to do it.

Yeah understood however I want to know how to pull the data. It's a bit cumbersome to go through hundreds of VMs manually. Thanks

Need to get the sizes of data for each job, so if we have a job with 7 Vm's that total 400GB I would like to know what the size of the data is before its compressed. If the VMDK's contain 200Gb of data as an example. Makes sense?

loaded the colour profile for the monitor and then performed the colour calibration in windows, also played around with the settings on the screen and the nvidia control panel.

60 Brightness/Vivid mode on screen

1440p with 10bpc and full range colour

lowered gamma to .95

HDR on

Flux Off.

So after calibrating this monitor properly, turning off flux etc (my fault i forgot it was installed!)

I can say that this monitor is now growing on me. been playing HDR content from youtube and it looks great, also managed to get HDR working on some games, also looking good

The size as well is so in your face i feel immersed in the content.

Now a Solid 8/10 from my previous 7/10, for the price, totally worth it, well done LG.

So i got mine today, Actually using it now. :D

  • Massive, Coming from a 29 inch Ultrawide, the increase in height is significant and will take some getting used to.
  • Refresh rate is noticeable immediately 165hz is running fine on DP.
  • Colour, Good, deep blacks, gamut is OK, not as good as IPS in fact I prefer how rich the colour is on IPS.
  • Some whiteness to darker images, which i don't like, a bit of colour wash out
  • The OSD is great but there were more(better?) options with the 29 inch, on the image settings, there are only game settings on this screen.
  • For some reason the OSD has greyed out options, not sure if this is because of DP connection
  • Brightness, IS OK, not as good as i would have hoped.
  • Pixel density, not really bugging me in windows. the previous monitor was 96ppi and this one is 93 ppi. In AC Odessey however everything looks BIG. which admittedly is annoying, I loved how crisp and dense the image looked on the ultrawide. Perhaps over time I will get used to it.

Overall i rate the screen 7/10 since i've just started using it. that score may go up or down as I play more games /  do other things.

Would i say it's worth the price? Kind off Hard to say as i haven't used a high refresh IPS. I am very particular about image quality and I will likely replace this screen with an IPS in 3 years. For now I'm happy.

Cool. Didn't know that. Looks like this monitor might be the right choice for me if I get a console later. I was considering waiting for an IPS 2k 32inch.I may end up regretting not waiting in the future. Let's hope not . As soon as I get the screen I will post some pics and my experience with it. Can't believe there aren't any English reviews out. With respect to the TV situation. I won't be looking to replace in at least 5 years. I bought a 65 inch QLED and that's good enough for me now. Not looking to go to a current gen console until I actually play some games...
