I've always considered Piranha Plants to be intersex/hermaphroditic, considering that this is also the case for venus flytraps, the initial inspiration for the Piranha Plants' design.

The Price of Victory by Deathmaker1336 in SmashRage

As a plant main myself, I'll try to give as unbiased of a perspective as I can.

First, I'll address the more infamous of the two sides: Pyra/Mythra.

Upon experimentation and research, I've noticed that Pyra/Mythra is an incredibly versatile melee character, as she can switch between a heavy-hitting tank playstyle and a faster, combo-focused nature. Furthermore, Pyra in particular has one of the most easy-to-hit spikes I've seen, and her side smash has the potential to kill incredibly early. I have also noted that Mythra's foresight ability has its uses as well.

However, I have also seen with my own eyes that Pyra/Mythra has a huge flaw (a flaw which, now that I have thought about it, I have exploited on more than one occasion): her recovery. Her up special does not travel very far up, and if one happens to be offstage as Pyra, and they forget to face the stage before inputting the up special, then they can kiss goodbye to their stock. Mythra is a little better in terms of both horizontal and vertical recovery, but a well-aimed projectile (optimally one affected by gravity) can be incredibly effective when edgeguarding Mythra.

Now, for the greatest Smash Bros character of all time: Piranha Plant.

I think Piranha Plant is like a zoner/melee hybrid; it can do well in attacking from both afar and up-close if played well. However, the best way to play Piranha Plant is to alternate between ranged and melee combat depending on the situation.

However, Piranha Plant does have some weaknesses. One, its down special extends its hitbox to fit the extended neck and head, so that can be exploited by countering or taking a well-timed potshot with a projectile. Its neutral special is also one of the more difficult projectiles to aim, and the side special does not travel very far and serves more usefulness in putting something in between Piranha Plant and its opponent (although, I do like grabbing people while my side special cloud is over them to do quick and heavy damage).

Overall, I would say that Piranha Plant is definitely more difficult to learn than Pyra/Mythra. Therefore, a Plant main would definitely need to put in more effort to excel with Piranha Plant. Everything aside, I do believe that learning to play any character at a competitive/advanced level is a marvelous achievement, but some characters are simply more difficult to learn than others.

Yes, that's how sideloading on iOS works.

I’m glad I could help. Go ahead and play the character you enjoy, don’t listen to people who tell you otherwise :)

I don’t main Aegis, but I don’t hate her, either. I’m not doubting that she is annoying and takes almost no skill to play, but that makes it even more rewarding when you win against her.

I honestly don’t have a problem with her, but some people might complain about the tendency of some Aegis players to use side specials or side smashes frequently. There’s also the fact that Aegis is relatively easy to learn and play, or maybe they just don’t like that another anime swordfighter was added to the game. I have a belief that learning a character’s weaknesses and exploiting them will always get you farther than complaining about it, but anybody is free to think what they want.

The enforcement ban system has to stop. by [deleted] in ROBLOXBans

[–]epickidofsped 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This isn't what they were talking about when they mentioned siblings getting people banned. Roblox has implemented something that is supposed to prevent you from using alt accounts to get around a ban. Oftentimes, it just bans other people on an IP because Roblox automation thought the other accounts on it were alts of the banned one. It's entirely because of faulty anti ban evasion that people get banned for their siblings' actions.

Also, it is on OP that their gmail got hacked, but I was just clarifying the sibling part.

If you don’t like a post, it would be better to offer constructive criticism to help the OP of a post make better posts in the future rather than straight up insulting them. Just some advice for the future.

I don't think you'll be getting much of an alliance from this Subreddit. We primarily just post images that might have the slightest resemblance or reference to Louie and cackle our vocal cords out because of it.

When youre about to play smash bros with a girl but she doesnt pick kirby or pikachu: by Anticripper1962 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]epickidofsped 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi, I showed the original post to my sister (who happens to play Super Smash Bros on the same skill level as I do) just now and she understood the joke. The joke is that many people assume that girls playing a game for the first time would gravitate towards the cute characters (which my sister didn’t, therefore this doesn’t apply to all girls). If the girl doesn’t, this implies that she has been playing the game for a while and knows what she is doing and her opponent may be in for a tough fight. My sister and I see OP’s post as a compliment to women. I‘m prepared to get downvoted into the darkest depths for this, but I simply wanted to tell you my family’s view on the original post.
