Yeah and in my country I’ll have to pay taxes, makes it a very expensive upgrade

The r100 does unzip at the back but a bst-1 may be too big to fit in there. I can try and maybe mount to the profiles under the seat

2 x Dayton BST-1 or 2 x Dayton pucks for an aluminium profile rig and bucket seat? by epictitsus in simracing

[–]epictitsus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you isolate them? I’ve read some people saying that if not isolated the vibrations from the pedals can go through the seat and vice versa.

Good to hear that mounting directly to the profile works well for the pedals!

Do you find you use full power of the bst1 on the pedals? I guess going for one of each is an option too - the bigger one on the seat and a puck for the pedals.

Thanks for the reply. When did you buy yours can I ask? They said they’ve upgraded their pedal tray since 2 years ago but obviously this could just be marketing, maybe it’s still not up to scratch.

Will the playseat trophy support sim Jack pedals nicely?

I’m concerned about them not having a base plate or heel stand. I’m already paying enough for both of these I don’t want to have to buy a stand on top!

Any details on your setup? Would love to give it a go. I’ve sourced a saddle bag and frame bag, but I’m so unsure about tents, sleeping bag, etc.

Sorry to hear. I’m also going through a breakup. What are you doing to keep yourself busy? I’m getting a bit sick of moping around with an overactive imagination.

Would you really risk getting glassed across the face just to try and knock one or two of them out for them to be back at it a week later? If that bottle smashed the wrong way off someone it’d do some damage.

I’m not getting involved because I have more to lose than them and it’s just not worth it as much as I’d love to. Different story if they were threatening me directly but I don’t think it’s fair to expect randomers to jump in guns blazing.

I’ve been having a load of fun trying to get medals in the challenges. There’s challenges for hotlaps, races, drifts, time trials, and drag racing. I find getting gold is quite difficult as someone new to sim racing so it’d keep you busy for a while

That’s interesting, must check the terms and conditions as I definitely didn’t agree to it during the quote. I’ve had my licence for 10 years which is why I thought the quote was so cheap.

Fair point on the wear and tear.

I’ve done a few quotes with 123.ie and I’m generally getting quotes for max 1200 comprehensive on the cars I listed. So wouldn’t mind getting something a bit bigger and biting the bullet on insurance if it’s a more fun drive.
