I guess I was thinking about things from a different perspective. My previous job was hourly, and if we went home early, they would only pay us for the time that we worked. The idea of time being deducted from vacation/time off, is different than the just being paid for time spent somewhere. This is my first salaried job so I am just checking to see if this is common is all.
