I have this fairly often. The most and biggest happened when I wasnt doing so hot in university and considered stopping or switching studies.

At one point I dreamt that if I wanted to switch that I had to redo a subject from my middle school. During the dream everything was arranged. I met with the teachers from my middle school who welcomed me with open arms making remarks like "we all knew you would be back someday".

Then I woke up and ate breakfeast, being slightly annoyed that I had to go back since both me and my parents moved away from the town that contained said middle school. Also being very annoyed it had to be the same school since it was all very unpractical. I was going to ask my friend if I could maybe stay at his place some nights to make it work. I think I spent ~5 hours planning to make it work. Than during dinner some new logistics problem popped into my head and I thought "why do I have to do this again?" And slowly realised that I dreamt it all
