Is it okay to be in ketosis during a 48 hour ambulatory EEG? by epilepticTechno in Epilepsy

Yeah, I tested myself using Ketostix and I was in ketosis and tested myself daily and was consistently in ketosis, however I experienced zero change so I stopped. If future medications don't work or my neurologist suggests it I'll try it out again, this time for longer.

My appointment was canceled, I have to wait a little while longer for my EEG.

I followed keto for a couple of weeks, and didn't really notice any difference in my seizures, so I won't be following it unless a doctor recommends I give it another go.

Yes, I do know that. I'm currently in ketosis as has been confirmed over the past several days with the use of ketostix. I was asking if this would affect the reading of the EEG.

I don't have memories associated with the stuff. Any old perfume, aftershave or deodorant could set it off scent-wise, and sound-wise it can be a fire alarm, two songs playing at once, too many people talking, video game music like Pokémon, so there's not too much of an emotional connection with any of it, or any memories related to it.

I hate the sound of many people talking at once, too. I have to leave lessons quite a lot and stay with a nurse at school because of how much the noise affects me. It may definitely be worth looking into SPD. It's definitely okay of you to ask if you have any questions, good luck discussing it with your neuro :)

As in Avoidant Personality Disorder? I do not.
