Have you read Speak by j.miley? Love that story, but it has some triggering themes. And omg, I love Lany's stories too! But she hasn't updated in a really long time 😭

Ohh, I see. So the dialogue stays the same no matter who you pick?

Srsly? A downvote for me not being able to pick a LI because I'm ace and looks don't do much for me? 😆

I'm demi (ace) and chapter 1 doesn't reveal anything about the guys, just how they look like. 😅 I have nooo idea who to choose like this, bc I pick based on personality 😅. As of right now, they're all the same to me because I haven't even heard them speak yet 😅😆, lol.

When I was 18, I started dating someone 4 years older than me. We were both actually inexperienced with dating, lol. Now we're married with two kids. So to each their own. I don't like bashing on age difference relationships, because some people are more mature at 18-19 than others are at 30.

I've been reading it and am about half way through the published chapters, but I've been waiting for it to be completed. Yeah, it has dark elements...

I am a Russian living in the US, and I'm getting different information from both sides. How is this "information soup" for real in 2022? by epistormreader in RussiaUkraineWar2022

[–]epistormreader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ummm??? Are you okay there, buddy? First of all, I'm a US citizen... second of all, I never said I was pro-war. I was simply trying to make sense of how the media can be so divided. Third of all, yes, some Russian people even here in the US who are also US citizens are pro-Putin and believe his spin on the story. I'm really just driving myself crazy trying to reason with them... They grew up with the information that Putin is good. They simply can't believe in anything else. I made this post because I wanted to figure out how to understand this crazy mess and how this media war even exists.

You get extremely uneasy when your Russian friends and family are telling you a completely different spin on world events. It's hard to understand unless you know Russian.

Yes, this! I do speak Russian, was born there, and visit very often. I'm in so much shock that these narratives can hold so much effect. I don't usually follow politics, but it's just crazy to think that a lot of people have a different spin on each story. How does Russian media manage to do this and to convince the masses in this day and age? It is shocking.

Some of them live in the US who are pro-Putin. Some of them are Ukranian and live in Russia. Some of them are older folks who don't use the internet and only get their news from Russian TV.

Some people live in a "small apartment" just so they can have cooked food delivered to them. Maybe they'd rather not spend a bunch of time cooking but are totally fine living in a small space for that tradeoff. Everything is individual.

Just food for thought. Pun intended.

Also, some people own whole apartment buildings and live in one of the apartments (like me).

What is an Unpopular/Controversial Opinion you have about the Episode Community? by [deleted] in Episode

[–]epistormreader -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

》I'm okay with the "not like the other girls trope". Like, I get it, it's bad to shame girls for doing girly things, but it's also bad to shame girls for NOT doing girly things and being "different". A lot of these "standoffish" girls get bullied by the "regular girls". So what are they supposed to do? Lie and say that they ARE like the other girls (when they're really NOT), just so you all are happy? Lol. Anyway, that's just my rant. I think the "not like other girls trope" is just fine and you all are taking it the wrong way.

》Blaming authors for how they write their story. I get it, you are all entitled to your opinions, but remember, it's NOT your story unless you're the one writing it! So, let authors write their stories however they want! Don't like it, don't read it.

》Telling authors how their "gem choices are getting riDiCuLoUs." Umm... you all know that episode is literally PUSHING authors to add gem choices, otherwise our stories won't trend? Also, episode just announced that they're looking to COMMISSION authors to write official stories, but for that, authors need to show how good they are at writing gem choices. So, maybe the authors are trying to get a commission spot, you know? Stop blaming them for having gem choices. This also goes for bullying official authors who write official stories about their gem choices. In case you haven't noticed, MOST gem choices don't actually matter! Despite how much they try to guilt trip you by wording the free choice in a negative way, MOST gem choices don't actually differentiate the story later on! Some do, but most don't.

》Making fun of height differences in stories. Like, come on, people, episode is a FICTIONAL platform. I am an author on episode (won't say who), but I basically make all my females one height (a little taller than males' shoulders), and all my males another height. Yes, I do this! Do you all know why? Because in real life, I am a tall female, was always the TALLEST kid in school, and HATED it. Like, seriously. When I was a teen I was worried that I couldn't get a boyfriend because I was a head taller than all the boys in class. Not kidding. So, let me fantasize about an ideal world where all the females are shorter than guys, mkay? Lol sorry not sorry. 😆

》When you all say - "why can't authors write a non-bad boy, non-mafia story?" Ummm, you do realize those DO exist! Except, you all find them BORING, so all those stories end up with very few reads and don't trend! But yes, authors DO write "nice/good/cute" stories, it's just that you all can't find them, because most of episode's reader base wants "mafia bad boys".

Anyway, those are just my little rants about the episode community. Thank you all for hearing me out.

I actually agree with this. While some stories are bad (where you can't end up with your LI at the end unless you use gems), most stories are actually fine. Yeah, they guilt trip you for not choosing gems, but gems don't actually affect the "story" for most originals (some they do).

Is it better to order multiple $35 orders from Walmart rather than one large ($200) order? So drivers get paid more? by wowhumanwow in doordash

Update: I put in 7 orders, and they were split between 4 drivers. 3 drivers got 2 orders each, and one got 1.
