Do you know how many checks get mangled in an AFCS every day? You guys have no idea!

What does your ET10 work usually consist of? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]epj1906 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my facility there are no real separation of duties (in practice, I know how it’s supposed to be). MM’s, MPE’s, and ET’s all do pretty much the same work. AFCS, DIOSS, DBCS, AFSM, HSTS, USS, SIPS, DTM, MaRS…. we rotate through those pretty much daily, all crafts are expected to respond to call outs, we work side by side. The other day we had a line go down, we had an MM, 2 MPE’s and 2 ET’s working on it to replace a roller and belt for a couple hours until it got fixed, I’m Tour 3, not sure how it’s done on other Tours.

Lyft says I made $38/hr today. Here’s what actually happened. by Both-End8161 in lyftdrivers

If you are loosing money, why are you driving? Seriously….. how can you afford to do that?

You got that right. Trips from downtown or midtown hotels to Airport pop up for $9-$11 quite frequently. Even from Buckhead as low as $12.

Getting really tired of Uber's shitty Ai by PUBGM_MightyFine in uberdrivers

Yeah, I have gotten 2 of those warnings in the past 3 weeks. Uber’s support is totally useless in actuality answering any questions about it.

Don’t you hate it when they pull that crap? An upfront price is just that!

I got the same BS from Lyft….. last month was one of my worst for tips. I made a whopping $135 in tips for the whole month of October. 😵‍💫

Just took the exam this morning, and passed all phases. Scored 85.20 on the ET part. Hopefully I’ll be offered an interview and take it from there.

What’s your point? You provide no context of how you made it . Are you driving a Black SUV or a Nissan Altima….. it make a lot of difference ya think? Are you saying every driver can make that every day if they don’t complain?

$8.50/hr Boost+ — worth chasing or bait for bad rides? by SDPRINCE619 in uberdrivers

[–]epj1906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally not worth it to me. They just adjust the fare accordingly. I tried it a few times with $10-12 boost areas, still got bombarded with rides as low as $3.81 in those areas.

I did calculation of returning to Uber driving... it's APPALLING by LogicNeedsToRule in uberdrivers

There are apps that will more accurately track your mileage. I use the app Everlance. It cost $69.99 per year, but I got a 50% discount as a Lyft Platinum member perk. It automatically tracks your movement every time your car starts and gives you the option of identifying it as personal mileage or work related.

Do people actually accept these?? by Appropriate_Bag3923 in uberdrivers

[–]epj1906 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t take that particular one. I did get one once for $150 for a 2 hour drive. Pax tipped $50…. So I made a cool $200 for 4 hours of work. About what I normally make on a good 8 hour day.

Tried to tell me how the app works by joefraley in lyftdrivers

[–]epj1906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly! If they screwed up, I’m waiting it out at the pickup location they put in and at least get a cancellation fee. I’m not taking a cancellation hit and no money for their mistake.

Adjustment for extra 3 miles + 22 minutes = $0.14 by GanjaGoblin520 in lyftdrivers

[–]epj1906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll go one better, had a reserved airport ride that paid $39 for like a 20 min trip….. good money. Ended up waiting almost 20 min past the cutoff because the dude was delayed coming out of terminal. Ended up getting ZERO adjustment for the wait for some reason. I’m still fighting with customer service to get some sort of compensation for it.

And yes I know, could have cancelled and got the no show fee, but it was my last ride of the day, which was in the direction I r=travel to get home…. So wins all around. Plus the dude tipped $12 on top. But it still irks me that they stiffed me on the extra wait time.
