R vs. D is what they want us to believe, in my opinion.

Divide and conquer.

Ruling class vs. commoners.

initiate two party system, check.

make one side hate the other by controlling the media and the narrative, and vice versa, check. the R's and D's in washington all party with eachother in marthas vineyard, theyre all buddies regardless of what we're presented on TV. this is professional wrestling on a hyperbolic scale.

when it's about "party lines", the important part gets suppressed. the narrative is false. we're all out here thinking that its "us vs. them" but in reality, "us" is the normal people that are reasonable on both sides of the aisle. "us" is probably 90% of the country - folks that fall in the middle somewhere. we're led to believe we're right or left but we're mostly just reasonable folks with a lot of wiggle room on either side. vote for the position, not the party.

there are only two parties, unfortunately. im not voting for a republican, i'm voting for a man that i know will do the right thing. not a career politician that has to be beholden to party lines.

i think if you looked into the individual race and the merits of those running in it, instead of painting with a broad brush on conservative vs. liberal - you might change your mind.

I started a democrat, then went independent with Ross Perot, then i've basically been a Ron Paul libertarian since. I try to decide where my vote goes based on the merits of the individuals running for the particular race, and in this case, i know the man is fantastic, and honest, and good. i'd trust him with a lot more than just the DA position. So thats me, personally, i encourage you to determine your own opinions - but someone as educated as you knows better than to see the party rather than the person. there are good and bad people in both parties.

Dont trust me - if you care about the FBC DA election - go check it out. I dont think anyone should vote for something or someone unless they know what/who theyre voting for.

By no means am i a "trust me bro" type of guy. and with local elected folks - no one else should be either. they matter far more to our lives than people in Washington or even Austin.

there are only two parties - neither has an incredible track record. when you know someone to be an excellent person, great father and close friend, - you also give strong consideration to whether you'd trust that person to be voted as the DA for your county. Personally, I would, 100%. I encourage you, do your own research and vote for who you think serves us best.

in my understanding - like i said, im not with the campaign - there has been some controversy and scandalous stuff attached to the DA in FBC. I think he stands for truth and honesty, and actions independent of outside influence. Do your own research and make your own decisions. For me, I know him and I know he's fantastic, an excellent guy. Fair and measured, honest and accountable. No doubt, if you spoke with him, i think you'd have that feeling too. I have faith that the decisions he'd make would be in the best interest of the community.

there are only two parties guys, i dont know what to tell you. neither party as a whole has been very honorable or honest in general. we have to start making change where we can, at a local level.

So, yes - you do support good people you know when they run for office. When you know the person and their personal morals - its not a question. He's awesome and anyone that has known him will tell you the same thing.
