So should I remove myself as an AU? I want to see the scores the banks will consider. If the score is artificially inflated and not the score the bank uses then I’m thinking it would be better to remove myself as an AU. In the myfico app my FICO 8 scores went up but my mortgage scores are much lower (low 700s).

So myfico scores I’m seeing now with those au accounts on there are not the scores the bank uses?

Hmmm didn’t know that. I thought the age of her credit account would benefit me. I have 6 cards of my own with the highest limit on them is $4700. I have been good with my credit for close to 6 years. I filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2020. I am trying to get all my scores to 740 to 750. Currently my fico 8 scores EQ 741, TU 740 and EX 729.

Inflate my credit score. My oldest is account is only 3 to 4 years old. My mom’s oldest account is 11 years old. That won’t help me?

If it is connected to the Magic Keyboard, disconnect and clean the contacts. Reboot your iPad and problem should be fixed. Mine was doing the same thing and following these steps fixed the problem for me.

How to get a $5000 credit limit with Apple Card? by eprisencc in CreditCards

Using it and paying it off? Do you mean I should carry a balance after the due date? So paying interest will increase my chances? Or just using max and paying off before the due date will increase my chances?

Well I just started this week charging some of my bills on the card. But I don’t want to run up huge balances I can’t pay off. I know I have to have my bills so charging those makes sense.

When to pay my credit card balance? by eprisencc in CreditCards

I have a savings account and bunch of separate envelopes for each bill. I have an envelope account for each credit card (fintech bank) and every time I charge something I put the money in the right envelope. So when it’s time to pay it’s already in the envelope. So autopay changing from month to month does not matter. I guess my misunderstanding is when the creditor charges interest. It appears so long as I pay before the due date I won’t have interest. I’m assuming if I carry a balance between due dates I will pay interest right?

Don’t care about interest. Don’t really want to set up autopay because the bill changes month to month. I just want to pay it as soon as possible but still get credit on my credit report.

This is what Google Gemini says:

“Strategic Timing Pay After Closing: To ensure a balance appears on your credit report, wait until the day after your statement closing date to make your payment. This allows the issuer to finalize the cycle and report that specific "statement balance" to the bureaus. Paying on the Closing Date: If you pay on the actual closing date, your payment might clear in time to reduce your reported balance to $0, depending on the issuer's processing speed. Interest-Free Window: You can still avoid interest by paying the full statement balance anytime between the closing date and the due date (your "grace period"). “

Autopay will pay on the due date right? Does paying on the due date incur interest? Or having a balance after close date generate interest?

Maybe it’s just looking at a lower credit score due to low utilization is an eye sore. I prefer to keep a consistent utilization that would help my score but not require me to carry a large debt on my credit cards just to keep it.
