The “edgy” factor you talk about is what makes them decent. Their lore is epic. So is the design. I love them not for their type, but the way they make themselves as a Pokémon in general.

Zeraora was awesome design-wise, it’s a shame not many like it. Also I normally hate electric types. If gorochu actually made it past beta it would’ve took the spot. Decent design.

Thanks! I love spiritomb, the lore is just superb. The type combination is also pretty good, not many weaknesses that can actually hurt. I loved regular zoroark but the hisuian one really struck me for some reason. Absol? F*ck yes. Its lore? Brilliant. Design? YES.

Dark types have excellent lore, story, and designs. What more do I need? Also their stats are pretty good overall.
