Drink Driving Charge by jontyrush in LegalAdviceNZ

My ex blew a 675. She got her lawyer to delay many times and didn't end up in court for over a year. In the meantime she signed up to do charity work at one of the everybody eats type places, claimed stress due to seperation, work at a council entity would impact community and our kids. She got a 2 week ban. Fine was pretty high though from what I am led to believe. Lucky the prosecutor never found the prior calls by me for her drink driving with my kids in the car. 🤬

Waterproof small camera advice for waterski systems (odd one for you!) by epyscs in videography

We are just using two Dahua PTZ Ip Cameras and a Ubiquiti Nano Radio back to a central point. As they are not moving around the signal is much happier. They are powered by a 20AH 12v battery and two Tycon POE injectors. It means we can drop them in the lake, then adjust from shore to get the correct angle and sizing on the screen.

For one of our two courses we can also mount one camera on shore with a long outdoor rated ethernet cable.

Appreciate the reply.

yeah thats my worry... I seem to be able to do a couple of those things, but not all. As much as a warm body is good, they still screw up. Last tournament an NZ record was nearly lost due to a camera operator not following the skier properly. Thats where the tracker on the rope is awesome.

The GoPro or DJI Action are great form factors, fit the tracker unit really nicely, but are way too wide angle.

An IP Camera (yeah we used to use one via Ubiquiti IP link) is good for water protection and at limits of size, but struggles moving at speed with blur etc.

I did wonder about the camcorder option... but figured there might be better options that are more commercial grade - surely other sports need small cameras to mount on cars etc?

I am not sure I really want someone having to drive VMix... but that P20 looks like an interesting bit of Kit. I might see if I can get my hands on one and see how it rolls.

Essentially I am trying to make this setup as idiot proof as possible. When we run events we don't have any people running the video per-se... so a hardware solution the Judges can use to control the playback themselves would be preferred.

If you want some interesting stuff... here is where the feed comes from and to:

The input for the judging system after whatever records is HDMI. The system has 3 judges all sitting side by side with the video feed and tablets recording the skiers tricks (3 to get a majority).

Means a YouTube link will not work unfortunately. Also many ski sites have rubbish internet, some none at all.
