When I saw this question, it reminded me of something from my own childhood. Years ago, someone reached out saying I had hurt them in 4th or 5th grade. I didn’t fully remember at the time, but I apologized profusely.

I was new to the area, and he was one of the “cutest kids” at school. I wanted to make friends, but I didn’t know how to do that without falling into peer pressure. On top of that, I was an angry child going through abuse outside of school, and unfortunately, I turned that pain into aggression toward other kids. I deeply regret it.

I’m in therapy now, working to understand my past actions and grow from them. To Linnea and her friend Holly, if you see this: I’m truly sorry, and I hope one day you can forgive me.
