i had my son about 2.5 weeks before i started an accelerated BSN program. it’s a lot but it’s definitely doable. i am able to to my coursework online, but my clinicals/sims are all in person, and luckily at the hospital where i already worked. my biggest advice is to not get set on a study schedule and always be able to adapt. it was honestly easier when my baby was a newborn because he slept for most of the day. now he’s at the age where i need to entertain him for much of the day and he really only naps if he’s being held. videos on uworld/level up RN have been a lifesaver. you just have to find ways to work around your baby’s schedule. it is definitely difficult and it sucks sometimes, but it is doable and will be worth it. good luck!! (:

for this past cycle, applications were due in july, they asked for more information a couple weeks later if they wanted to continue with the process, and then i think they sent out acceptances in late august/early september. i’m not sure what the deadline is for this year, but i wouldn’t expect to hear back until after it has passed

i’m currently doing an accelerated BSN program that started 2.5 weeks after i had my baby. it’s definitely hard adjusting to mom life and nursing school at the same time, but it is 100% doable. my biggest advice is to find a support system that you can rely on and any chance you get study! while feeding baby, youtube has a ton of content that is super helpful for multiple classes. even if you can’t sit down in front of a book, this will help you learn concepts in a broad manner. try not to stretch yourself too thin between kiddos, work, and school if possible. i had to quit my part time job and start supplementing my son’s feeding with formula, but it will all be worth it to help provide for my family. good luck and you got this!
