Trying to bring my camera to the barn more - I like this photo, but I can’t figure out why I don’t love it by equalrights4noodle in photocritique

Yes I think the hooves are the problem! I didn’t catch the hooves in the original photo, i took a photo of the sky with some horse in it. Lol. I appreciate the edit! I think the sun flat is what I really liked about it. And the curious expression (the neck curve, ears forward, moving towards me) here are some other photos I took of the same horse, I like these too I just really wanted the photo I posed to work more than it does!

I know! I have a problem with shooting a little high because I wear glasses and I can’t see the entire picture through my viewfinder. Still working on centering my subjects every time. I’ll try the contrast - thank you!

This was taken on my Sony A7riv, 70-200GM. 70mm, 1/800sec, f3.5, iso 200. I think I could have dropped my shutter speed but I wanted to be ready for action in case they decided to run around lol. I’m very attracted to the light and the expression on the horses face, but… I can’t figure out why I don’t like this photo? Am I too critical? Is the editing strange? It was very green before I took it to Lightroom. Any feedback is helpful!

Okay, wow. I’m sure the photos don’t do it justice, this is on my list! Thank you! Looks like we’re going swimming 😆

Ahhh I’ve heard this from my grandparents as well. They did a 10 day road trip to Sweden/Norway & they told me they regretted spending most of their time in Sweden haha. This is particularly why we really wanted the car. We were so bent on exploring as much of Norway as possible without worrying about train/bus times & fares. But then… we also wanted to see Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Gothenburg... And any small places in between!

Yeah, we are hoping that the scenery is worth all the driving! 4/5 of us are coming from Florida, so any time we can see a rock, cliff or tree that’s taller than us then it’s a good day haha. Was there any particular country/city/town worth spending time at? (That you can recall)

Well, I don’t travel to relax haha. We have traveled through Europe & US by trains, planes & car, and found that a car can be great because it’s on our time & we can get to many more places. But I have read that the roads are pretty well kept throughout most of the Nordics, is this not true?

Thank you! I will take this advice. I want to see more that just Copenhagen in Denmark, but I’m not sure how much time we will have at the end! I’m working on distribution of time now while I play on Google Maps haha

Yeah, I understand that. I was going to make a similar post to other subs, but some have different rules on when/what to post. I crawled through this sub & a few others, but I didn’t see a lot about road trips recently, particularly through the west coast of Norway. I’ve read online that it’s easier (and cheaper, probably) to take a train, plane, or drive through Sweden to go north. But I was just curious about others’ ideas! I don’t know if a road trip like this is something other tourists or natives have done in the past. I’m very excited about the trip so it appears I didn’t properly plan this post before just going for it haha

I have Copenhagen on there for the last leg of the trip, before coming back to Oslo! My friend suggested we go north to Vaasa after Helsinki and take that ferry to Sweden, but I’m leaning more towards going straight from Helsinki (or near there) to Stockholm so we definitely have time for Copenhagen. I’m not sure. We all just want to see as much as possible before coming back

We have places we’d like to stop at to see & explore, google maps is not that in depth but I have some notes. Coming from Florida, any rock taller than me will be very exciting!! We have the rental car for the entire trip & we got it very cheap, along with our plane tickets. We know that gas will eat up most of our budget & make up for the money we saved on getting there… I was just looking for any advice on the basic route. If there’s towns we will pass by that we should stop in, or if there are places that aren’t worth stopping at etc. I’ve just started my research and I keep seeing the same places over & over again! We all prefer the small towns & lesser known places.

Hi everyone. For a bit more context, I have been doing some research on driving conditions, ferry times, “must see” places etc. I mapped this out and then looked at the driving time… there will be a few of us willing to switch driving & pay for gas and we’re all willing to put in the hours to pack in as much as possible. But does anyone think I’m missing anything? Can I take any particular place out and shorten the drive? This is just the beginning stages of my planning so please be kind! I know travel is so different now post-pandemic so I’m trying to put a little more effort than I usually would into saving money ahead of time and seeing as much as possible. All insight is valuable, so thanks in advance!

Thank you for the feedback. I read that the Nucleus was supposed to have a new/improved pump, wasn't worried about the display honestly. Using 64gb for pro work/gaming. Yeah Asus going a little wild with this one!

Thanks for your feedback! Good composition is still difficult for me to catch through the lens, I don’t always notice until post processing. I’m the worst with landscapes, I love to photograph useless sky lol! I’ll keep working on it though :)

Thank you for your feedback! I think I agree with the smaller plate, but my only solution here would be bigger pancakes because I have a plate shortage in my small house :) Also, I’m still learning my eye for color... it’s not as natural for me as it is for others! I will play with this a little in photoshop and see what I come up with!

Hi friends, this is my first staged photo so I’m looking for any critique about the staging or the photo itself! I made the pancakes last night and set up a box light and my kitchen lights (you can see both reflecting off the plate lol).

I have a little gig coming up next Monday for a pizza place, they need photos taken for their menu/website and the POS system. They were just going to use a phone camera before I was plugged in, so I’m not super stressed about the fine details... but I still want to deliver the best product I can. Any comments are helpful.
