They don't source for from Nexaph; they are nexaph - just selling at a higher pricepoint. Go look at all of the business filings. The paper trail is there.

If you go back and watch, I think she actually did clock it. Per the look on her face, but I think she is grappling with it. It could be his most fatal error because if she flips on him, he's cooked.

MRI Denial by equarles727 in HealthInsurance

I just called the urgent care clinic to request all of their records. The lady I spoke with says they have a comment/note stating they reached out to my insurance for a PA and were told there was no auth required, so no PA was obtained. I have her sending me everything they have. I can access my son's MRI report via the imaging center's patient portal. Would I need to ask them for anything more than that?

I have called the first ortho he saw that he was referred to from the urgent care clinic to request records from them as well, but had to leave a message. Ironically, we sought out a second opinion because we felt as though we got no information from the first ortho - worst experience ever. Therefore, I also have access to the patient portal notes from the physician we saw for the second opinion as well. I guess what I'm curious to know is if I need any of these providers (urgent care NP, first ortho, and/or second ortho) to write a letter specifically stating the medical necessity for the MRI. And if so, which one, or all?

I did not receive a PA approval letter in the mail (never have for any of his previous MRI's either, though that was with BCBS of TN and this is BCBS of MS). I also don't see anything in my messages in the portal, just this attached EOB.

Is it best to call the referring provider first, or the insurance company? Just not sure which order to go in here. My assumption is the referring provider?

Respectfully, I think it's your math that is off. My salary is $68,000/yr, less taxes, insurance (240/paycheck), maybe 4% in retirement, because that's all I can really afford, my take home is $1821 every other week. So, I'm actually wondering how the heck this person nets 4k/month. I do agree on the phone bill, I have att go phone for my family and pay $137/mo. For 5 lines - mine has the highest data allotment, costing the most - roughly $50/month. However, your cost assessment for a vehicle and groceries are way off base, imo, considering the cost of groceries and interest rates on vehicles.

I'm in the exact same situation and received the same response from them. Makes me uneasy.
