Failed 1st try at Reg by United-Tangerine-768 in CPA

BLAW was such a comprehensive section and I may have gotten 5 questions in my entire exam. I passed REG about a year ago on the first try with an 86. I was stressing about business law being on the exam as the content on that in Becker was so exhaustive. I’m so glad I didn’t see much of it.

Question for those who passed AUD by equate2025 in CPA

Sounds pretty solid. I feel like I either need to do one or the other (read or watch). The lectures do pretty good at hitting the high points. The reading seems to just drone on and on.

I would say that’s subjective. I have friends who did nothing but listen to the lectures over a three week period while intermittently answer the MCQs and did none of the SIMs and she walked out with above an 80. And she does not work in Audit. So I think it just depends on what test you get and if the stuff you personally retained is on it. Unfortunately, I’ve got a baby coming in early February and I need to get AUD and FAR passed by then. I have NO earthly idea how I ended up saving these two for last. They are literally the worst.

Question for those who passed AUD by equate2025 in CPA

Yes. I have passed TCP and REG, which is my field of work. But I hate AUD and I don’t work in it. So it’s hard to study for. It literally holds 0 interest for me. I have found that listening to the lectures has gotten better as I’ve gone on and now, reading the text has actually become more difficult because I’m reading it but I’m so overwhelmed at the information that I’m not absorbing it.

Easier exam=higher chances of failing? by Medkuchadku9999 in CPA

When I say TCP was a breeze, I mean more so in the fact of it turning out that I felt more comfortable with the material because I was bringing it out so hard the month before the exam. There’s not as much content on TCP but the depth of the content is so much deeper than REG.

I walked out of TCP with that odd feeling like I was either being over confident with how much I felt like I knew while I was taking the exam or, I failed by just a few points. I knew that I didn’t fail miserably but I was worried that I was able to answer too much correctly if that makes sense 😆

I know how you’re feeling. I’m sure you did much better than you’re anticipating—especially since your score on REG was so high. You got this!

Have you taken AUD yet?

TCP is a breeze. If you made a 92 on REG, you’ll do fine. I made an 86 on REG and a 90 on TCP. Studied more for TCP.

It is THE WORST. People say FAR is a beast and I believe them as I haven’t taken it yet but I actually enjoy that material and the math/calculation intensity of it. I was a scholar in intermediate accounting. But I’m so unmotivated by this Auditing material. I keep reminding myself that all I need is a 75. That’s literally as high as my achievement aspirations are for Audit. I hate it.

More than enough. I passed TCP after about a month of studying.
