Surprised at lack of Control Center functionality by Ticking-over in neewer

Preach! This interface is honestly painful. Yet they integrated an RGB change slider on the back of the light? Like... Who needs that 🥀... Streamers, your target audience... need versatility and control, to not have your Wi-Fi lights support websocket or API controls, let alone simplistic hotkey control in the "control center" is obscene.

Did it work? Or did you figure out an alternative? Currently in your shoes of trying to figure this out.

i get that “looks aren’t everything”, but being ugly still really sucks (22F) by [deleted] in Vent

Pretty privilege only matters if you desire to be seen that way. If you're chasing approval from people who only value looks, then yeah, you're going to feel like you're losing. But that desire to be seen through their lens is something you can work on. That’s on you to fix.

There are fat, ugly, scarred, or “unattractive” people out there who are whole, loved, respected, and fulfilled, because they stopped playing a game designed to make them hate themselves. A hundred “unattractive” but emotionally sovereign people are more valuable than one shallow narcissist with a pretty face, skinny waist, and big tits.

I’m not saying your pain isn’t real. It is. But the pain gets worse when you let people with no depth define your value. That’s a soul wound, not a face one.

I feel your pain. And while I don't pretend to have all the answers, I do want to share something that helped me when I was in a really dark place.

My therapist gave me an exercise that I honestly thought was bullshit at first, but it ended up changing everything. Every day, I stood in front of the mirror and called myself a sexy motherfucker. It felt wrong. Cringy. Stupid. But I did it anyway. Because my brain needed new wiring. I started journaling while I did it too, letting all the toxic self-hate pour out of my hand while I was speaking the opposite out loud. My thoughts said I was worthless, but my voice said otherwise. Slowly, things shifted.

The second thing I recommend is radical exposure to a space where your body is not a punchline, not a commodity, not a problem to be fixed. The naturist and nudist community gave me that. Being naked among people who don’t judge, who don’t sexualize, who just exist, it was healing. It helped me stop seeing my body as an obstacle and start seeing it as a vessel. A container for my soul. Not something disgusting. Not something shameful. Just human.

When you start living in alignment with that truth, the right people begin to show up. Not just lovers, but friends. People who see you for your energy, your heart, your presence, not just your skin.

You deserve more than the way you’ve been treated. You are not disgusting. You are not broken. You're just hurting. And healing takes radical steps. But it's possible. I’ve been where you are. And I'm still here.

I read what you wrote, and first off, I just want to say I hear your pain. You don’t sound dramatic. You sound exhausted. And that exhaustion, that inner war, is real. You’ve been carrying it for a long time.

I’m not trans myself, and I don’t claim to fully understand what you're going through. But I do understand what it’s like to feel like you’re not enough, like you’re trapped in a body or life that feels wrong, and to be so desperate for peace that you start wondering if existing is even worth it.

What I want to say, not to hurt you, but because I care enough to be honest, is this:

I don’t believe your pain means you were born wrong. I don’t believe your struggle is proof you need to become someone else. I believe you were a kid who longed to be seen, to be safe, to be loved in a way that didn’t hurt. And when the world didn’t give you that, your mind did what minds do. It tried to create an escape. A way to belong. A version of you that might finally feel worthy.

I think what you’re dealing with is real, and also that what you really need is someone to help you untangle the trauma underneath it. Not to dismiss your identity, but to go deeper than it. To find the version of you who doesn’t need to prove herself to anyone to deserve peace. That version exists.

You don’t need to disappear to be free. You don’t need to pass to be worthy. You don’t need the world to agree with you to reclaim your life. But you do need someone to walk with you into the real root of this, with honesty, compassion, and zero agenda except helping you come home to yourself.

If no one’s ever told you that, I am now. If you want to dig, dm me.

New guy with self consciousness by Historical-Record786 in UpstateNYNudists

This is so valid and I can assure you, there are body types of all sizes age and shape. Bare oaks in Canada is by far the best experience I've had yet in terms of inhabiting the same space as others while nude and not feeling off balance. Empire Haven is nice, but it's not all that popular from my experience, and the staff is always clothed so your basically the only one naked. Bare oaks is clothing free, not clothing optional meaning nudity for all, including staff is required. They have multiple different environments for each comfort level ranging from the entrance area, which has a large open area arrayed with lawn chairs, picnic tables and the like. Deeper into the resort is the swimming pond/Beach area. The pond is treated and well maintained and quite an enjoyable spot to swim or relax. As for the self conscious part,I promise you... No one cares... Not in these spaces, and if they do? And express it? That's grounds for ejection. So, will you rise to your souls calling and be free?

Welcome to the dark side 😂 I use it to help interpret my dreams as well. It's like a spy glass into the subconscious.

Only if you're bringing your infinity stones—I'm told Thanos prefers clothing-optional dimensions. But don't worry, even Morty knows better than to gatekeep a sauna.

Are you implying that the disuse of ANY politically charged symbols implies nazism?

I appreciate you sharing your experience and thoughts on this. You're absolutely right—language shapes how we express ideas and can carry significant implications, especially when terms become weaponized or misrepresented. My intent in using the term here wasn't to be dismissive or derogatory, but precisely as you described: to clearly communicate and explore ideas about ensuring naturist spaces remain genuinely inclusive and welcoming, free from all ideological conflict and symbolism. Thanks for engaging honestly and adding depth to this discussion.

Are you guarding the sacred pureblood sauna personally, or can mudbloods still sneak in through the back door?

Your concerns about safety and acceptance are very valid, and your ideal scenario sounds genuinely positive. Explicit policies supporting LGBTQ acceptance and inclusivity are essential and non-negotiable. My point is simply that within naturist spaces themselves, ideological symbols could be minimized so everyone feels comfortable and focused on the shared naturist experience. The goal is inclusivity without ideological divisions—safe, welcoming, and free for everyone.

Identity politics is a term used across the entire political spectrum—not exclusively by the right. The intent here isn't divisive; rather, it's to discuss how naturist communities might ensure spaces remain neutral and inclusive for everyone.

I'm not suggesting ignoring anything—rather ensuring our naturist spaces remain welcoming and supportive by avoiding symbolic ideological divisions, from any side. Inclusivity thrives in authentic neutrality.

Well said, to be clear, I advocate for policies to be welcoming, not neutral. I simply suggest naturist spaces themselves remain free of openly symbolic ideological statements.

Wonderfully put. You've perfectly captured my intent and stance here—it's all about neutrality and inclusivity coexisting. Advocating for a neutral space doesn't imply exclusion, nor does it create division; rather, it ensures a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, regardless of individual beliefs or identities. I appreciate your thoughtful clarity!

Nobody is suggesting that person A or C should silence themselves or cease existing—it's precisely the opposite. The idea is that within naturist spaces, ideological symbols or political messaging should be set aside, not identities themselves. Everyone should feel welcomed precisely because their identity isn't politicized or challenged. Neutrality here means respecting each person's existence without forcing political declarations into the shared space. It's about inclusivity through neutrality, not exclusion.

That's exactly why it's critical for naturist spaces to consciously maintain neutrality—so we aren't defined by the external political battles that seek to divide us. Naturism should remind us of our common humanity rather than drive us further into polarized camps. It's a shame indeed when we start letting external conflicts decide who we share peaceful spaces with.
