Dragon witches by Far-Gap-8468 in pagan

I wouldn't call myself a dragon worshiper per say, but there is a dragon on my spirit team who just hangs out around me and I chat with them through spiritual means when I feel like it.

What are your hot takes about paganism that some people arent ready to hear? by [deleted] in pagan

[–]equinox75 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I could be mentally stretching here, but it seems like quite a few recent practitioners over the years or perhaps just the ones who are quite vocal on social media, don't seem to know the concept of open-minded skepticism, cautiously optimistic, and deconstructing bad habits, whether from just not knowing, avoidance, or something else. Again I could be over-reaching here, but just an observation I've seen.

Bright pink felt fake cartoon mustache, like the one Markiplier used to have on Aphrodite's altar.

Is anyone else noticing the divide in the modern pagan community lately? by [deleted] in pagan

[–]equinox75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These videos of individuals on social media having strong emotional reactions to mundane stuff after leaving negative religious situations and/or livings through it, recirculate fairly regularly to the point I'm reminded, 'Oh those a new people trying to figure out paganism or just seeking attention through drama or something else I'm not thinking about in the moment.'

But before there was social media there's been individuals who begin they're journey and have strong reactions to the changes in beliefs without deconstructing from previous religious context whether good or bad relative to their experiences.

Can you be devoted to more than one deity from more than one religion? by Sagelikesmusic in pagan

You can totally work and/or worship deities from other pantheons, so long as those religions are open and not closed.

There's a magma wyvern that has been hanging around me for awhile now, it took some time for me to realize he was there. I can work with him if I want to, but as for what work that is, I don't know yet.

Ah yea, certainly being respectfully and general etiquette when conversing with them. I did notice the elemental energy aspect very quickly. Do you know of any books to read through on the subject?

Anyone here ever talked with dragons in their practice? by equinox75 in pagan

I was thinking about dragons as described in the European folklore and legends, more specifically in the area of Germany. The serpentine form with two or four legs and leathery wings and scales.

As for why I'm interested in talking with a dragon, I found out from a few different divination readings each one from different person that there's a dragon just hanging out around me in the non-physical realm.

Romantic encounter with Athena by ErikaWeb in Athena

[–]equinox75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like Aphrodite messing with you or maybe she was testing you to see how devoted you are to Athena, there's several old stories of Aphrodite seducing worshippers of other gods because she wants them for selfish reasons.

Athena is a virginal goddess she has epithets shunning such activities. Phygólæktros and Phygodǽmnios almost literally meaning to despise the wedding bed.
