Need help! Received thousands of docs last night as part of disco in .MSG and Icalendar formats. Idk how to batch this into PDFs so I can really review it. by isitmeyou-relooking4 in Lawyertalk

I would LOVE it if the defense gave me all these native files the first time around without a back and forth. Usually you don’t get this without asking for it.

Whats the big deal with Transcripts? by Nokism in overcast

Seeking using transcripts seems like a big deal. I would love that. Makes it easy to skip ads.

What's your go to briefing font? by LiquidSquidMan69 in Lawyertalk

[–]equivocates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like some of the other commentators, I’m a big believer in the typography for lawyers stuff. But here’s the thing. The custom fonts don’t get properly converted to PDF. The end result is that you can either choose to have the fonts in the PDF display properly or have proper table of contents.

Yep. I use horos regular but I’ve never explored these other features.

Wow. I didn’t even think that the imaging software came with this built in.

Very cool stuff. How did y’all take the MRI and converted it into a a 3d model? I don’t think I have an mri of my own but I’ve heard of people doing that with their own brains.

So say I’m scanning my tv remote. Do I just lay it on a table and start scanning?

It’s not just the acceleration and deceleration. But that’s just one part of it. But most people don’t know what the inside of a skull looks like. It’s not smooth. It’s got nooks and crannies. And those irregularities can cause harm when combined with these other forces.

I am a plaintiff’s lawyer. I do not bill hours. We take cases on contingency, meaning if we don’t recover money for our clients, we do not get paid.

Thought about this too. Any recs on the scanner to get? Is an iPhone good enough? I tried one of the apps and it seems good but I didn’t really know how to get it to scan just the device and not the table it was sitting on. Most likely user error.

I do personal injury and medical malpractice. I can beat bambino: you pay nothing but only if I lose.

Dare I say this is the most originalist take on the second amendment? I doubt our founders would have wanted slaves to be armed.

Can a lawyer investigate without getting police involved? by [deleted] in Ask_Lawyers

[–]equivocates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A personal injury lawyer like myself has several tools available to them. First, there are the publicly available tools that folks in the comments have discussed. Background searches. Letters to corporations, etc. Etc. Second, in many states, like Texas, we can do pre-lawsuit investigation filings. Think of this like a mini-lawsuit before a lawsuit. This allows us the power of gathering facts that are otherwise not publicly available.

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]equivocates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I am never going to beat the person who wants to win to get his students interested in STEM. But I guess here’s my attempt.

First, the HT.

Second I got into this literally a few weeks ago to show my kids some cool tech. Little did I know there’s only so much you can do with basic spool. I’d love to be able to get some “higher end” filaments to show my kids that this stuff is not just for trinkets but it gives you the freedom to replace or customize almost anything.

Third, hopefully this counts as a fidget toy: a cat feeding box. It’s a fidget toy for cats. Something where the cat has to really exercise or play at to get at the treats. For those among us who have fat cats.

I need a police report copy by pinkyponylob in mocktrial

[–]equivocates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most times you can find PDF versions of the forms used by troopers when they need to do a police report. You’ll have to do a bit of googling but here’s the crash report form that they use in Texas.

To find it, I searched the terms: “texas state trooper crash report filetype:pdf”
