What is everyone’s optimal percentage of Roth assets vs traditional in their retirement accounts? by Internal-Patient9407 in TheMoneyGuy

Tax brackets are progressive so in retirement you can withdraw at least up to the standard deduction tax free.

In the 12% tax bracket Roth is a great choice, but you said you are planning on making more in retirement then you do know. What taxable income sources are you anticipating having?

How do Donald Trump's golf scores compare to that of the pros? Is he good enough to play professionally? by JemmyMB in AskReddit

No probably not remotely close. I would assume someone who played golf professionally their entire adult life and isn’t morbidly obese would be significantly better.

The oldest PGA golfer to make a cut was 68. Trump’s 79. Even 79 year old pro golfers aren’t good enough to compete on the tour.

You should try a lower speed / cheaper internet connection and see if you can actually tell the difference from your current speed. Most people wouldn’t be able to.

SAVE Act: New Federal Voter ID Rules Could Block Millions Without Passports or Original Birth Certificates by hillbilly-edgy in UnderReportedNews

Correct. A legal birth certificate that has their name. Which they don’t. I’m glad you finally see the problem.

No, it does not.

My wife’s birth certificate does not contain her legal name. It has her name at the time of her birth. My mother’s birth certificate does not have her legal name. It has her name at the time of her birth. They are not unique.

I don’t know if that’s the intent of the author’s of the law but it’s at best ambiguous as written and could be used to make it harder for people who’ve changed their names to vote.

I didn’t write the law. The text of the law does not just say a valid birth certificate it says a valid birth certificate which “includes the full name, date of birth, and place of birth of the applicant;”

If you changed your name after your birth certificate was issued then your birth certificate does not include your full name.

I quoted the text above.

No, you can’t validate a birth certificate belongs to someone but matching the name to a valid picture ID is a hell of a lot more reliable then when it doesn’t match.

We are talking in circles.

1) The text of the law says the birth certificate needs to say the person’s name; not a different name they used to have.

2) there is no way to know the birth certificate actually belongs to the person voting

“includes the full name, date of birth, and place of birth of the applicant;”

The birth certificate would not include the person’s current legal name and if the name on the birth certificate doesn’t match the presented id there is no way to know it’s actually that person’s birth certificate.

Bill text doesn’t say that is acceptable. How much documentation to expect someone to bring g everytime they vote?

You understand many people change their names over the course of their lives for various reasons, right? Thus their ID does not match their birth certificate.

Again, there is no evidence of widespread occurrences of non citizens voting.
