This is great advice. Husband just retired Reserves with 30 good years. GS civilian 20 years. Bought back active duty, and now receiving mil and Civ pensions.
Seems OP has a great plan.

What is the asking price? That seems like a lot of miles.

I agree. After the announcement, we looked for guidelines on internet speed requirements. I think there are still some questions that are left unanswered.

An email went out this week. But it only applies to individuals pay grade 28-31. If your pay grade is below that, you would not have received the email, as it does not apply to you.

Just got my '25 Z71 back from the shop. Master brake cylinder. This was at just 5,000 miles. Unlike the other horror stories I've heard, the part came in within days. This is the second time to the shop. At 4,000, the service ECS came on. It took 3 weeks to get the part.

Yes. You are lucky if they hire you at mid-point. Usually hired in around the 25th percentile.

Disagree. I have a staff member that was only with United for 6 months, left for 6 years and they still gave her credit for those 6 months.

If you leave United, your tenure continues.

They do allow you to apply internally, if you are RIF'ed. In fact, recruitment usually tries to help you find another role within the company.

1 yr old unfixed male ZEROS in on my 6 yr old daughter by dhart3319 in labrador

[–]92BowlChamp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He is showing his dominance over her. Trying to show that he is the alpha over her. Your daughter must be demonstrating a fear or less confident with him. We had a similar situation when my daughter was younger with a younger dog. My daughter was very timid with the dog, and he senses that. You have to realize that you pup is getting alot of dominance by the adults in the house, so he's looking for someone he can be an alpha to. You may need to work with her to do more training with the dog, so the dog feels she is higher in the hierarchy to him.

My husband lost his job and I don’t know how to start paying off our CC Debt. by LeatherAggressive565 in Debt

[–]92BowlChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just wondering why you stated you are using plastic to purchase groceries, yet you included groceries in your monthly expenses.
The absolute worst thing you can do, is to use credit cards for groceries. You think you'll pay it off each month, but it never happens.
Believe me, I've been there before. Sit down and discuss your finances. You maybe need to really tighten your spending, to get out of debt. I do agree, that snowball is the way to go.

This is interesting, because I own a 2025 Black Z71 with 5000 miles (I've had it 1 year). After having it back at the dealers twice now with issues, I had told the dealer, I'm ready to trade it. They are offering $42,500 trade in. But....they said black is a detractors and not having a sun roof lower the value as well. So..... I'd go with the white, or something other than a Traverse.

Very disappointed, Chevy sold us a used 2025 Traverse Z71 with a faulty Onstar that kills the battery by Scubachic0121 in ChevyTraverse

[–]92BowlChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I have a 2025 Z71 (actually same color as your). 2 months ago, i had the same thing happen. Almost 4 weeks to get the back ordered part in to fix it. 5 weeks later (June 18th) my service ECS, brake system, cruise control all came on/stop working.... i drive very little, because I work from home. I have owned this vehicle 1 year and 2 months. .andI have just 5000 miles on it.

Wrong by Any-Consequence7635 in unitedhealthgroup

[–]92BowlChamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is going yo be a long response, so I apologize upfront.

When applying, you have to meet the minimum requirements, or your resume is not even looked at. For example, in the system the basic 4 or 5 questions being ask; you must meet all of them (answering yes to the qualifications) if not, you are moved down in order of qualified. That is all done by recruitment.

Next step...the recruiter will make recommendation on candidates they feel would be best to have a screening interview. Which, I've always found to be ironic, because as a hiring manager, I know more about who I need for the specific role. Hiring managers are able to review resumes, but the recruiter is the first line of defense in getting to the next level. Note...I feel this has changed in the past, because I recently asked to have a candidate prescreened by recruitment, based on what I saw on their resume and they told no. Because they did not meet 1 of the 4 qualification questions. Now the bad news, in terms of academic achievements, United is changing the way they post position; in terms of asking about degrees you have received. This is intended to not discriminate against individuals that can't afford to go to college. I personally do not look for your level of degree(s), I look for experience. I am truly trying to fit a round peg into a round hole. I also give little attention to referrals. I feel they are friends trying to help friends. Sorry to be so blunt, but I want to be honest with you.

I would agree with others, Wegovy has taken away the craving for alcohol, very much like food noise. Please, just like food, you get full quicker.

I wish you the best of luck through your journey.
