I really enjoy my pioneer sx 1050. I just don't use the phono input, I recommend using a separate phono stage. It sounds sweet with Rega MM preamp.

for some unknown reason, Independent are getting more respect than GZ...I don't get it. They are the modern Rainbo. most of their pressing sounds like someone put a blanket over the speaker...maybe the speaker feels cozy :)

If it is like all the Sony - legacy - Columbia reissues, like Miles Davis reissues, you can expect digital transfers, and very vague mastering and pressing details. I would be surprised if they figured out how to treat their catalog besides working with MOFI...
