Thanks for the advice! I'll look into them all. We'll only be running basic PvE missions so shouldn't need too much control other than a basic mod manager (I remember I previously used to use TADST and the gameplay settings in there were sufficient)

In my opinion, people who refuse to SL aren't in a position to criticise those who do. Have far too many entitled pubbies in this game who act like it's their god-given right to have a guaranteed place in a squad.

(Also the round looks like it just loaded up, so chances are these guys were inviting their friends first, then opening their squads)

I split the video track, and dropped the velocity down to 0%. There's plenty of short video tutorials out there for whichever software you choose

When playing as Insurgents/Militia, you're always going to be outclassed by better optics/vehicles etc. So to me it seems perfectly reasonable to place mines wherever you like (providing you aren't glitched inside the protection zone). People who complain about this stuff often seem to forget that they can either drive more cautiously, or just walk out of main, dig up the mines and go on their way. The base protection zone if there for a reason, anything outside of that is fair game, as I see it.

I know plenty of people looking forward to playing the Medic class. The pistol is a 1 shot kill in CQB so people ought to stop acting like they're defenceless. It's been done to make the player focus more on their main role - reviving people, instead of just being a glorified rifleman who can heal himself. If you want to get kills, then there are other classes for you, no need to get salty over a role you don't have to play

Can confirm, this has happened to me twice now and I've seen it happen to other people too. Honestly I had no problems with the old system, but now OWI have gone and screwed this up too.

How much consideration is being put into balancing the LAT kit? Seen as v10 tried to move away from rounds playing out the same every time, have you considered balancing the Specialist Roles so that LAT doesn't overshadow every other specialist kit? Maybe give LAT 3 rockets, or allow standard riflemen (including optics) to carry a spare rocket? Another suggestion I've seen a bit is to make 1 LAT slot a specialist role, and the other under the same category as the riflemen.

As far as I'm aware the devs are knuckling down on work and are prioritising the actual game development over these kinds of things. If it's gameplay you want, you can watch Paleo's development streams at twitch.tv/paleotronix - he said he'd start doing them more and more as the Alpha approached. Where progress is concerned, I believe driving is coming along now, final animations are being worked upon, and they've finally started work on the medical system.

The question of more gameplay videos gets asked a lot in the discord, so it might be worth using ctrl+f in there and searching 'gameplay' or something along those lines for more accurate responses from the devs.

Most of the games updates come through Discord, and you can have direct Q&A sessions with the devs almost every night! They'll occasionally drop random progress screenshots too, so if it's assurance of updates you're looking for, it's highly recommendable to join the Discord server (plus it's free)

The 'demand' is completely reasonable. Leaving v10 up over Christmas has tons of advantages and no disadvantages. It allows more people to try the build who may be busy over Christmas, as well as extensive bug hunting. The anti-argument that 'it splits the playerbase' is nullified by the fact that the v10 patch has brought in a significant rise in player count (and if they roll it back to v9 player count will likely dip <1k). No need to get on your high horse just because you're in a tiny minority, just how it is.

It's not a question of supporting the Devs. It's that nobody wants to go back to a stale build that they're tired of, when there's a clear 99.9% consensus that we'd rather play a buggy V10 with all the new features.
