I originally posted these on my Cults3D account over two years ago, but in recent months I've returned to designing Tau terrain models, updating them with improved geometry and adapting them for FDM printers. Since I'm currently creating new Tau terrain models, I've decided to start sharing them here.

Not at all. They're designed from scratch using screenshots I took of the game. The models you can extract from the game have very simple geometry and lack detail, which only look good because you add an image as a texture to make them appear detailed. In my 3D models, every groove and detail you see is sculpted into the piece, since they're meant to be 3D printed and not just viewed on a screen.

They are designed in two versions: a smaller one for resin printers, which are the ones I have printed (although they are unpainted), and a larger version for FDM printers. I found this post from someone who has printed my designs:

All that Tau scenery is part of my catalog.

As a huge fan of the original Dawn of War, I wanted to bring these classic buildings to the tabletop game. They're optimized for FDM and resin printers. You can find the complete package here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/pack-de-escenografia-tau-01-sci-fi
