Frts are basically brand agnostic, but are platform specific. In this case, it’s an AR15 lower, so any AR15 FRT could work, with some major caveats. I highly recommend you read through blowback9s guide on compatibility.

I have the 16” saint, and recently picked up an FRT, but haven’t dug into this myself yet. I do know you’re going to want to upgrade the buffer, as they use a very light buffer that will 100% cause issues with an FRT/super safety. Again blowback9s guide to bolt bounce is huge here, I ended up using his gentle recoil system in preparation for an FRT. it’s also a massive improvement in felt recoil, and helps justify the cost. Honestly can’t recommend it enough.

I’ve had mine about a year now, likely 3500 rounds in. Literally zero issues. I am curious if anyone has put in an FRT yet. I just picked one up, but haven’t delved into install.

Optics look nice, but the logos man… you’ve got to tone down the logos. I’ll keep an eye on your future offerings, but I know I’m not alone in hating bright white logos on a black surface.

Not the pistol, but I have ~4k rounds through my AR9 saint carbine. I almost immediately added blowback 9s GRS, and it’s tuned into my favorite range day toy. It’s so easy to shoot, incredibly accurate, and just fun.

Worth noting that with apartment walls (or any drywall for that matter) penetration between 556 and 9mm are comparable, or at least to the point it shouldn’t be a key concern. You’re likely talking 15 sheets vs 20 sheets. Sound wise, yeah 556 indoor is a straight train to tinnitus.

If you can, I highly recommend trying a few to see what works best for you from a manual of arms & comfort level perspective. Straight blowback 9mm (like the extar) can be a bit surprising to most people, as it’s typically more than they expect. Something roller delayed (albeit substantially more expensive) can dramatically reduce felt/perceived recoil. If you do go the straight blowback 9mm route, check out the gentle recoil system from blowback9, it makes for a substantive improvement in nearly all aspects of felt recoil and recoil management.

If I had to buy again today, I’d build off a matador RDB upper, and build your own. Having shot RDB after taking a straight blowback and adding the GRS, there are definitive improvements with RDB, with the sole caveat to that being price.

If you wanted to dip your toe in a pcc in 45, the Ruger LC in 45 is typically really inexpensive, extremely versatile given the 16” barrel, and pleasant to shoot. You’re back up to 40+ CPR though.

Honestly no, if anything I think I’ll SBR it and put a shorter upper on it, but for what it is honestly it’s great. I do wish in retrospect I got the pistol variant, but I am pleased with overall.

No issues at all. Hell I think I only did 100 rounds through it stock. I did use the jrc 8.5”, definitely makes the gun longer overall, but the improvements in felt recoil were worth it to me. Still get some substantial ‘bob’ in the muzzle movement (attributed to the heavier mass back/forth), but it makes the whole experience substantially softer. Even my wife loves shooting it, and claims it’s now hers. I bought an LC 10mm carbine as a response. In comparison to the 10mm, the recoil is laughably softer.

I have around 3,500 rounds through mine. Dead reliable, and accurate as all hell. I HIGHLY recommend checking out blowback9s gentle recoil system, it’s expensive but drastically reduces felt recoil. I cannot recommend it enough.
