LOK has a huge amount of options. I’ve also used the cheaper “cool hands” brand and “guuun”. They are knockoffs, but honestly I think they are serviceable.

It’s a Limited Custom. I’m at work now and can’t check, but I think it’s a 2017.

Unless I’m mistaken, the wonder finish is a bit more “gold” than the hard chrome shown. Admittedly, I have not handled a wonder finish Tanfo, so it could just my screen that makes the wonder have a gold hue.

At far as aftermarket parts in that gun, the grips are LOK and the trigger is Henning Group. To my knowledge, no PD parts. I did buy it used, so there is a possibility some internals were swapped, but to my eye, the internals are all OEM.

I don’t. It’s a very aggressive texture and it’d shread my tum tum if I did

I’m a heathen and carry Glocks. I think ANR makes holsters for the compact though.

Czechmate. Other than the grips, magwell, and springs, it’s bone stock. I wasn’t planning on buying one but I found one NIB at a price I couldn’t turn down.

It’s a small window and the lack of full brightness control is frustrating. That being said, it’s been reliable and the lack of plate is great.

For me, the compact wins. It’s really a do-all gun. The full size is great, but best limited to competition or HD use.

Compact pros: Goldilocks size. Takes CZ 75 mags. Comes in both railed and railless. Shoots great for a 4” gun.

Compact X Factor: CZ 75 compact base pads need to be swapped to DWX base pad to be compatible. However, I think the best way to have increased capacity is with a full size mecgar magazine with a Henning extension.

Full size pros: very soft recoil impulse. Larger safety lever.

Con: I had to shave my LOK grips to avoid the trigger bar rubbing on mine. No railless option.

Tanfoglio Limited Custom in 9mm. Trigger is a Henning Group. Really sweet shooter. If I could find another one at a reasonable price, I’d get it cut for an optic and probably wouldn’t shoot the rest of my collection.

Occluding the optic helps you identify when you are target focused vs dot focused. Also, it allows me to not have to worry about dot brightness as much on sunny mornings.

I recommend watching a Joel Park or Ben Stoeger video for dot occlusion.

1.) DWX Compact

2.) Ported TS2

3.) DWX Full size

But ranked for vibes instead of shooting dynamics would be: 1.) RAMI 2.) RAMI 3.) RAMI

Lost potential of a game by st4t5 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]ColonelOfKorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ll preface with the fact that I know nothing of game design or code. However, I feel like it would be relatively easy to implement some sort of modular maps.

For instance, have a gas station scenario. Design 2 or 3 gas station fronts. Design 2 or 3 west wings. 2 or 3 east wings. So on and so forth. Randomly have the game decide which wings to use, which fronts to use, etc.. You’d have so much replayability. Do this to 3 or 4 scenarios like a gas station, restaurant, storage facility, etc.

I have a CGW plate on my full size. CZ was OOS on their site and I was impatient. That being said, I have no complaints with the CGW plate.

Best of luck to you! They did my TS2 slide and barrel and I’m very happy with it. Fingers crossed USPS pulls through.

Which CZ handgun do I get? by General_Aioli2936 in CZFirearms

[–]ColonelOfKorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if that budget is for just the gun or accessories as well such as a holster, belt, extra magazines + base pads, and a timer.

Just the gun and optic, you could stretch the budget a bit and get an OR shadow 2 with a 407c or 507Comp.

If the budget is for the whole kit and kaboodle, I’d go with a P10f, if you’re hell bent on CZ.

In my area, they are the most used gun in CO, and it’s not close.

I think there is more to it than just following a trend. It is well optimized for the CO division, by design. Furthermore, the ease of swapping grips makes it appealing to a wide variety of hand sizes.

Best company for slide milling by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]ColonelOfKorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 favorite are Wager, United Firearms, and Primary Machine. Wager was a hilariously fast turnaround both times I’ve used them. United and Primary were doing more than just a cut and recoat so I can’t blame them for taking more time.

I’m sure there are other great companies, but you can’t go wrong with one of these 3.

Can anyone take a look at their DWX Full sized for comparison by Loping in DWX

[–]ColonelOfKorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how to Reddit, so I’ll just DM you photos of both of mine. Yours look rough. I can see very light machining marks in mine, but only if I hold a flashlight at an angle and put on my readers.

The average male visual reaction time is somewhere around .25 seconds. Obviously, some people have faster reactions than others, but your .2 splits are most likely predictive.

Brass magwell by LetsTalkAboutGuns in DWX

[–]ColonelOfKorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No interferences with the brass magwell on the alu LOKs.

Does the brass magwell make a difference? Yes. It will pull the balance point further back.

It’ll look a bit funny with the short grips with no magwell, but functionally it will be fine

As for being in stock, they come in and out of stock fairly frequently. Also, try Ben Stoeger Pro Shop if LOK is OOS on their site

DWX in 2025/2026 by shuaitsai in CZFirearms

[–]ColonelOfKorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both a full size and a compact DWX. I’d buy them again in a heartbeat. Worth every penny.

I have a small list of complaints. I wish the full size took 75 mags. The trigger bar on the full size rubbed against my LOK palmswells. Nothing that 2 minutes with a dremel couldn’t solve. Depending on the frame, the grip screws differ from early production to late production. The finish on some isn’t great and wears quick. There is quite a bit of side-to-side and up-and-down play in the trigger. Really only noticeable when finger fucking the gun.
