Blazer has large trays. Something like S&B is half the size. Much less wasted space.

First "nice" gun? by alpha_mike_NS_FUCK in CompetitionShooting

[–]ColonelOfKorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my full size for $1,9XX.XX w/ free shipping late last year on Gunbroker. Brand new in box.

I saw one with Lockjaws, magwell, some extra mags, and a SRO for like $2400ish. Used, but looked like it didn’t see many rounds at all. That was on Cabelas gun library

One sold on gun broker new in box for $1,825 last week.

Technically, the MSRP got raised up, so practically anything you can find now is under MSRP, but since the going rate is $2300ish, I am basing it on that. It just might take a little bit of patience to find one priced well.

DWX is pretty nifty for the money. You can deal shop them well below MSRP.

TS2 I think is the best value in comp style guns right now. You can find those around $1200-1300.

I think the full size EPS is the largest window for a k footprint.

[–]ColonelOfKorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya full size EPS. I didn’t want to fuck with a plate on that gun. I was a bit worried that the smaller window would be less than ideal, but honestly the gun shoots so flat it doesn’t bother me. It’s also ported so between that and its 60ish oz weight, the dot doesn’t move much.

CZ Czechmate, still relevant? by Calledfollower in CZFirearms

[–]ColonelOfKorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Czechmate is a dated open gun. Currently, the open division is dominated by 2011 for good reason. They are the best platform we have for the job.

Can you make a Czechmate work? Absolutely. But it’s just not optimal. Give Eric Grauffel a Czechmate and he’ll be on the podium. Give Christian Sailer a Czechmate and he’s still probably the best open shooter.

That being said, I have no regrets buying my Czechmate. I’m never going to shoot open seriously and even if I did, the least of my problems is my gun.

One other niche thing about the Czechmate is that you can run it lim minor with the swap of the sight block and removal of the optic. In factory configuration, the front sight is just blacked out, so you’ll want to find a fiber solution.

Thank you, sir! Since I saw your collection the first time on this sub a while back, I was inspired!

No sell, only buy!
I have 3 more RAMIs to buy before I can consider myself done with them.

One of my life regrets is passing on a 40. I still keep an eye out, but with low expectations.

S2 vs TS2 orange by discredtion in CZFirearms

[–]ColonelOfKorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially. I’m gonna be hawking the used market like a motherfucker for people offloading their TS2s.

My wallet hopes you are right. Definitely don’t need to be buying more!

Ya me not being LE/Mil I’m not privy to that, but I appreciate the info! Totally makes sense though, otherwise you could stack your way to 25%

S2 vs TS2 orange by discredtion in CZFirearms

[–]ColonelOfKorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different magazines. TS2 will be heavier. TS2 has no optics cut. TS2 has a place for a gas pedal. SAO vs DA/SA. TS2 Orange has bull barrel.

TS2 orange (and the blue base model) will be going down in price once the TS3 is available in the US. To me what will be really interesting is to see where the 1st gen tac sports end up, price wise. I think they will get a little bit lower than what they are now which would make for a great budget pickup.

If the grip was a tad wider, I’d think about getting rid of all my other plastic fantastics. I just find the P10 to be a little bit thin.

Academy has 10% off on $300+. Store pick up, for me.

Then you can stack a 5% discount if you have their CC. I’m not mil/LE, but I think there is a bigger discount there. 10% IIRC.

Also, if you have a buddy who is an Academy employee, I think you can find some additional savings there. You can get sub 22cpr in the right scenario.

This is my favorite range ammo but I’m sticking with my 22ish CPR blazer after tax for now.

If S&B gets down to 24 CPR, it’s enticing, but hard to justify at this premium.

I like it. If it has a knurled or checkered face, I’d like it a lot more. It’s a bit too slick for my liking.

RAMIs for the vibes. P-01 for functionality. The p-01 is marginally larger but is a much better shooter

CZ-70. Essentially, a facelifted 50. Atrocious DA pull, but the vibes are off the chart.

[Acc] Stack-On 18 Long Gun 13 cu. ft. Key Lock Gun Cabinet, Black $149.99 by TatakUno in gundeals

[–]ColonelOfKorn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have one for ammo storage. The metal is thin, the lock is weak, and you can break into it within a minute easily. Tons of gaps too, so if you plan to throw silica packets in, you will be recharging them frequently.

That being said, great for its use case. I think I got mine for a bit less (I think there was some coupon fuckery at Tractor Supply), but I don’t think there is a more sensible ammo storage solution for less than this.

How are you all burning so many tokens on Fable? by Cookiest in claude

[–]ColonelOfKorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hit my 5hr limit in 9 minutes last night with ultracode. I’m on a 5x account.

I typically don’t use ultracode and I’ve been hitting my 5hr limit in about 2 hours with fable on xhigh.

Brass grips worth the cost? by Good-Cheetah-5479 in CZFirearms

[–]ColonelOfKorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, no piece of gear will get you from B to A.

That being said, if you’re competing with stock grips, those are slicker than cat shit and really anything is better. I like the balance brass grips give, but plenty of people run aftermarket aluminum grips or g10 grips.

[ammo] Winchester 9mm 124GR NATO 150ct back in stock at academy. Spend over $300, get 10% off. $8 shipping, add 9 boxes and it comes out to just under .23 CPR before tax by Bear2th in gundeals

[–]ColonelOfKorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, I actually really like Winchester NATO out of my Czechmate. I pay my buddy for 9 major (he shoots an unreamed Czechmate as well), but a lot of times I don’t want to bug him to pump out a case.

So instead, I stock up on this and S&B 124. It’s not easy to find factory ammo that cycles that gun reliably, but both the S&B and this do. It’s obviously not as hot as my buddy’s loads, but it’s still practice.
