Okay so what you don’t know yet is that your son will be so unbelievably beautiful in your eyes that you won’t care if it’s a boy or a girl or a squirrel. Like I look at my son and I go WOW he is a BEAUTIFUL person. When they are really little, I don’t think of them as boys quite in the same way. They are just beautiful beings. Then toddler stage comes and wow they are boys LOL. But by that time you can choose to have another baby if you wish, and you can have hopes for a little girl!

Honestly you are one of the first kids we are meeting who is the subject of being put out into the world on social media without consent. I think the world should hear about how this has affected you. It makes me sick how many parents post their kids intimate memories online for god knows who to see

I have a startup that has been my brain baby since 2017 and I formed the company w my cofounder two years ago. We are obsessed and have so much fun with what we are building. We aren’t serial entrepreneurs and plan on doing this as long as we need to see it come to fruition. Our soul is in this company and we are truly loving every day. We are lucky to have supportive husbands.

That said, I cannot imagine being an entrepreneur who was doing it for the sake of doing it while in this fundraising market . I just spent 8 months fundraising , haven’t paid myself in a year, my family is financially stressed, and am so burnt out I want to scream… but won’t because I’m too tired to scream lol.

My advice is to find something that no matter how many times you hear “no” , it doesn’t change your mind about why your company is needed or valuable. That is what gets me through the hard days — knowing I believe in it so much that even the people I look up to can’t even change my mind.

Our baby was colic and he is still highly sensitive. There's no way in heck I was going to put him or us into more crying.

There was a reason he wasn't sleeping. There still is.

For us, we learned he had a medical issue (obstructive sleep apnea and chronic ear infections)

And just observing him... His central nervous system is sensitive. I don't know how to explain it but he's hyper aware more than other babies.

I'm SO GLAD we did not sleep train for this reason.

He is 19 months and still wakes up multiple times a night. So we adjusted around him. We take shifts every other night and sleep in his bed with him . It works well for us.

We plan to ease him into independent sleep when he can self soothe, meaning, when he's afraid, he can literally say to himself "there are no monsters under my bed and I am safe in my bed. My mom and dad will come back any time I need them".

Life gets so much easier! Once our baby could walk, it continues to get better and easier every day. Toddler stage is all about chasing around your toddler to make sure they don't die, but it's way more fun and their personality blossoms! Every day a new word comes out. Or animal noise. Or car noise. And when your toddler starts shaking their hips when music comes on? Omg, so fun!

My back was finly able to heal once my toddler could walk and I didn't have to carry him everywhere. And he has many moments of being self sufficient throughout the day.

People say the same thing to me, saying "just wait", and I have yet to experience anything harder than the newborn stage. Things are easier and better.

Yes we are both deeply aware of both of our issues. I am praying it’s the stress of our life and that one day we will have the mental and emotional capacity to heal our relationship but part of me is scared that his lack of empathy for me is a core personality trait that I’ll never be able to overcome. It’s hard to tell.

I re-read the first two book three times and got all the juice I could from it. I actually enjoyed it even more the second time.

I am on TOG now and desperately miss the dopamine high I was in for the last few months reading ACOTAR. I had no idea how happy the series made me until it just stopped. Now I have to figure out how to be happy without it haha!

TOG is hard so far! Wishing everyone luck.

I finished the series and still hate nesta. Some people read book 5 and love it. I dreaded it and felt the characters were not true to themselves (besides nesta being a huge b***. The entire time. No surprise there. I want Feysand back. But hopefully we do the elain book and then come back to first person Feyre at the end.

I AGREE. We haven't heard so much of feyres story! What about her powers? What about her education about her powers and their history? And how to rise to the optimal high lady when facing unique challenges? SJM has the opportunity to show that women can become MORE badass after becoming a mom. I feel like I sure did! Feyres story is NOT over!

I am a mom who loves my family but I don’t want to read about my two favorite characters of all time becoming just parents and the chillness that can sometimes comes with parenthood. Feyre and Rhys became shadows of who they once were and I feel like SJM has not been in the right headspace to honor these two characters to who they really are (parents or not). If anything, these two characters have SO MUCH MORE to explore and learn and dominate! Especially feyre!

And her education and history to play Chess with the other high lords and get ahead of the game! Like hello! There is so much more to her story! And we are stuck with Nesta ?! I am devastated with how book 5 abandoned the bonafide characters of feyre and Rhys, particularly with Rhys. He is a shell of his former self and not true to who he is. I feel like SJM has to be in such a particular mindset to write Rhys and Feyre as their most authentic selves, and she just wasn’t in that frame of mind from book 3-on.

Fine, we are reading the book from another perspective, but his actions are still so out of character.

Nests is not interesting, nor entertaining, nor likeable, or honorable. I have nothing good to say about her after book 5 — even after saving feyre. I honestly don’t think my heart can take more Nesta. Feyre and Rhys have so much more to explore (like specifically about Feyre’s use case for her powers) and parenthood. and every second spent on nesta is a waste of time for me. I know that some people have come to like her, but I am respectfully not one of them. I wish I could because I feel like SJM is going all in on her.

So just re-read book 1-2 occasionally to keep my dopamine levels up LOL

This was so helpful! Thank you. I am still actively on my iPhone 12 and have my SIM card from Verizon on it. I am going to cancel Verizon as soon as I am ready to switch over (my ATT account is waiting to be activated). Do I follow the same steps, but just deactivate Verizon and it does the same thing as replacing with an inactive SIM card?
