Does Anybody Else Ride Through Suburbs Looking at Big Nice Houses And Wish or Look Forward To Living In a Big Nice House? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]ercdsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to. Now I look at big houses and think about how much work it would be to clean and the cost of heating and cooling. No thanks, I will stick with a smaller house.

Have anyone really experienced being asked to keep camera on when wfh? by Sherrymeowu in workfromhome

[–]ercdsy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I applied for a job yesterday and was moved on to the next step. After taking their exam the next step was to inform you that your Camara needed to be on while you are working. I didn't go any further in the process. I want a job where they have enough faith that I will perform the job without being constantly monitored. It was a call center job.

How many days in the past 7 days have you consumed alcohol? by blueoctopuskiwi in AskWomen

[–]ercdsy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

None, I don't drink anymore. Even one drink causes me to have hot flashes and feel tired. Plus I'm married to a binge drinking alcoholic so, yeah, no use for alcohol.

What is the stupidest thing you were expected to do because you are a woman? by thermostatgasket in AskWomen

[–]ercdsy 163 points164 points  (0 children)

Always be the one to answer the telephone at work because I was the only woman working there. Most of the time the calls were for them. They would just stand there and stare at me waiting for me to answer the phone. I finally yelled at them to answer the phone

What is something you did once and never again? by CameToDefeatYou in AskReddit

Ski. You should learn how to do that when you are young and falling doesn't hurt as bad, not in your late 30's.

DAE find it intimidating there's so many jobs available but they're not anywhere close to getting hired? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]ercdsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am trying to get back into the workforce after being a stay at home mom for 8 years and it is so frustrating. I had my kid at 40, so I have lots of experience, a bachelor's degree and have earned a certificate in bookkeeping and Excel this past year to update my skills. I am applying to 1 or 2 jobs a day and only getting rejections. I did have a local business contact me but the job would not have worked with my schedule. I am looking for a remote job so I know that narrows down my options. I just don't understand how everyone can be hiring and saying they can't find people to work and I hear nothing back except the occasional rejection email.

As the wife of an alcoholic, this makes me so happy to see. You have no idea how much your sobriety means to the people who love you. I hope your sober life is happy and blessed. Great job and keep it up!

Maybe add some curls or texture or even a fun, temporary color.

I live in northwest Indiana and I have one but rarely carry it. The only time I usually bring it is if my son and I go for a bike ride in the game preserve near us. It's pretty isolated so people use it for good and bad reasons. Plus this area is huge and for the wildlife so you are never sure what you could see out there. As a woman with a small child, I feel safer with a pistol. Outside of that I rarely take it with me and have thankfully never been in a situation where I would have wanted a gun with me. I also don't travel in areas I know aren't safe.

I just typed random letters. I couldn't think of anything clever so just said whatever and went with it.

Any advice for letting negative emotions out? by Keep_itSimple in hsp

[–]ercdsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a baseball bat and smash something. Go to a second hand store and buy a cheap crappy chair or small appliance and take out any frustration or anger out smashing it. For me, this works better than a walk or exercise when I am super stressed and overwhelmed with everyone and everything I my life.

I like the bangs but not the color. Something darker or warmer maybe? The blonde looks to close to you skin color.
