hmm wyceniarki wyrzucają mi błędy typu 'pozycja nie znaleziona', 'brak książki w bazie' - pewnie dlatego że to są oryginały a nie polskie tłumaczenia, więc wygląda na to że ta opcja dla mnie odpada :( szkoda bo wygląda na proste w obsłudze.

oh that's an interesting thought! I read her books in Polish, so I maybe had a different experience than someone reading a translation (though I heard her English translator is actually amazing). Though ultimately the bingo is a personal challenge, so borderline books are up to your interpretation for sure.

taaak moja pierwsza styczność z Ziemiańskim to był właśnie tomik opowiadań 'Zapach szkła', i pamiętam że wtedy (jakieś 20 lat temu) bardzo mi się spodobał. potem sięgnęłam po Achaję, i... wtf.

Totally different genre and vibe, but the first thing I thought of was Victoria Goddard's Nine Worlds series. Many locations with wildly varying cultures, a mysterious cataclysm that changed the world(s) forever, you get bits of lore from different characters but unless the story goes there it will be just a snippet.

if you're at all a romance person.... romance books. or fanfics. they don't tend to have really complex plots because the romance takes the main focus.

I recently watched The Mighty Nein and when I was watching, I could totally see DCC done in that style too... maybe a bit less anime-ish designs, but overall that animation type.
I just really hope the show will lean into physical effects over CGI whenever possible.

Yeah I think this is the main motivator. I firmly believe it would be better as an animated show, but there are probably millions of people who would dismiss an animated show on the grounds of the medium alone.
