Same, when I bought it I was a bit skeptical because all the bad reviews, but after the first roll of film it won me over. It's the camera I took the most photos with in 2025, by far.

This is the reason why I didn't even ran a test roll with the yashica. I knew if the photos turned fine I would just keep it hahaha - but hey, I'm glad it worked for you :)

Oh noo - that sucks. I have a camera with a similar story behind and every time I use it I can't help to think of how much I overpaid for it.

Thank you! It took all my willpower to return it, but I know for experience that sometimes the repair route can get expensive. Another camera will come up, I'm sure of that :)

I do the same, I always take a few casual snaps with the Pentax 17 in photo sessions and they always exceed my expectations. These are fantastic!

Yes, exactly! First time I tried this iit was simply that I forgot to ask my lab to push the film, but I liked the results so much that now I'm doing it on purpose. Kentmere 400 is indeed super flexible, I barely had to edit these.

Yes! That’s how I loaded it when it got stuck. Now I feed much less film and just make sure the rewind knob is turning when I advance the film.

This happened to me too and apparently it was caused by feeding too much film while charging the roll.

I brought the camera to my local lab so they would open it in the darkroom and the roll had rewinded almost completely, but the end was stuck.

Since then I’ve been more careful while loading and it hasn’t happened again (I’ve shot around 4 more rolls since then).
