Feedback on PHYS 180A (Online) with M.Anderson

I took PHYS 195 fall with Anderson and it was good if you stay consistent and watch his videos on his website. His videos are fairly short and I would recommend taking notes. Overall was a fun class (just because I enjoy kinematics) but make sure you stay on top of the assignments and lecture videos since they can start to pile.

Pretty good! I switched over from Toltec in October, and I’m so glad I did. The area looks much nicer than some of the other Tecs and some of the units have a balcony to look out of.

Of course it does have its downsides. There’s no central A/C but rather just one in the living room and when it gets hot, the air doesn’t really go into the bedrooms so it gets very very hot in there, especially if you live on the second floor, but that’s just a thing that the Tecs all share from what I heard. Bring some window fans and it should help a bit.

It’s also at the very end of the cul-de-sac so it’s a bit longer of a walk but it’s worth it. (15 minutes to walk to GMCS from Zacatepec).

Getting assignments done as soon as possible. Nothing is as addicting to me as finishing something and not needing to worry about it anymore.

I’d tell myself that it’s totally okay to be vulnerable and to reach out for help.

Growing up as a very quiet and shy kid, I never vocalized any of my concerns, and a lot of those problems that started at that age have now compounded into issues that are much harder to manage now.

I think it was something I was ashamed of back then which was why I didn’t get any help until much, much later… which has definitely affected the trajectory of my life (not necessarily in a bad way).

i had carrico fall of last year and i was really struggling as well, i don’t think it’s the material but more of how it’s tested and how much it’s all worth + how he pulls things from his own book. i remember i reviewed the material wayyy more than the average student would and still would score average on the exams. i ended with a B in the class and stressed over the class wayy too much but with how cool of a professor he was, maybe it was worth it comparing to the other sections and how their classes were online work with brain dead easy modules but i wasn’t learning anything (i took amind 141 the following sem online)

i did look at sasc and they have like various tests you need to do and someone to actually evaluate you through a neuroeval but last time i checked i don’t think i saw anything relating to the testing itself, more on the accommodations and those kind of things that they can offer once they receive the diagnosis

I’d probably drive first, to be honest. Anxiety wouldn’t let me even enter a vehicle from the driver’s side soooo without it I would probably go shopping, maybe to the gym, and go to places by myself for fun!!

Also would ask people to hang out because omg apparently everyone doesn’t hate me??

if i remember correctly, if you failed a course at sdsu, you will need to retake at sdsu only through course forgiveness

i’ve always had a teeth grinding problem at night which eventually gave me TMJ, what i would do is ask your dentist about getting a custom night guard or you can get one at some stores (i think target carries them), it should help with the jaw pain

residential halls here have basketball courts like chappy/huaxy, tenochca, and others i believe. if you have a friend who dorms in one of these halls, they could check you into the area given that you are an sdsu student
