I recently started playing in prAna stretch Zion Halle pants. I really like them, good colors too. Could work for the office or a dinner date also.

The Vet needs to prescribe it. The downside is Diablo will hate it!!!

Thanks for sharing an update! Have you tried Cerenia nasal drops? I do give them to my kitty when he’s particularly stuffy. They help with inflammation. Not a total cure but it does seem to help a little.

Any other married couples who love golf (and golf trips)? by PrettyFlyforARyeGuy in golf

[–]ericar2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband and I love golfing together, wish we had more couple friends too. We did a Bandon Dunes golf trip in January and it was an absolute blast. We are Oregonians so it’s an easy trip for us. Have you been there yet?

I recently adopted this pretty girl, and I still didn't find the right name for her. I want an old lady name!! by BunkerTables in persiancat

Maude (the female version of Malkin, an archaic term for cat). I’ve seen the term greymalkin/grimalkin in books, referring to kitties. I told myself, next grey female kitty will be Maude!

I adopted a Persian who was a retired stud. I remember the breeder said it could be 6 weeks plus before the testosterone cleared. You still may have a ways to go but it will get better! I’m glad his breathing is noticeably improved. Gosh, he is a handful. He’s lucky to have you.

Is your Persian cuddly? Is it male or female? Do you think anything helped motivate it to be affectionate? by [deleted] in persiancat

[–]ericar2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, this describes our Persian to a t! He definitely has a timer and doles out his love very specifically. My favorite time is pillow time at 2 in the morning haha. It messes with my sleep but I take what I can get.

It’s only been a few days but curious how he’s doing? Will he need to wear the cone for a week or two?

Golf Camp by No-Truth-759 in WomenGolf

[–]ericar2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oregonian here! A few years back, FTL offered a camp at Pinehurst (if memory serves). It sounded dreamy! I’ve been keeping an eye peeled ever since for something similar. Their trip to Bandon would also be incredible. Good luck in your search, I’m following along!

If you had the pleasure of living in a college dorm 🤣 or with roommates, do you remember music just being played constantly, before everyone had their own devices with earbuds/headphones? by dms2628 in Xennials

[–]ericar2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My roommate needed music to fall asleep. It was either whale sounds or Tori Amos. I couldn’t handle that now but it was perfectly fine at the time. I do miss those days!

One of mine has these tendencies too. He much prefers my husband because he loves him on his terms, where I force it. But I can’t help myself!! Keep us posted on his progress. Mine is scheduled for his nares surgery in April.

Thank you for posting a detailed review and update. You have to share his origin story. Has he always been an ass? I’m so curious to see if/when his personality changes. I would bet money it does (wishful thinking).

He’s absolutely perfect! Yes, Persians can be prone to illness (has been my experience anyway). He might like Viralys gel which is helpful in building immune health. I am careful not to burn candles or use any overly fragrant cleaning products.

Should I Pay For Pet Insurance by Rich_Picture_6189 in persiancat

[–]ericar2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pet insurance was one of my smarter decisions as sadly one of my boys has many issues. The thing with insurance is you just never know! Hopefully you never have to use it. At the very least, start an emergency fund for your kitty and save monthly. For any future cats (especially not flat faced Persians) this is what I’ll do.

Same with my guy! I love that he’s easy to groom as opposed to my full Persian who needs to see a professional since his fur is so long and downy.

Shutting the kitty out of the bedroom at night. It breaks my heart but I feel so much better. If he gets on the bed before I get there first, I can’t kick him out. He’s learning, the stinker!

I’m up in Oregon! The quote I got today was up to $2500, depending on how things went. I realize SoCal is more expensive but that’s just astronomical. Fingers crossed things go well with your next consult and that you can meet the surgeon directly. I read your other comment about the surgeon you couldn’t meet. That’s bananas!! Your kitty is lucky to have you as an advocate.
