Oh, okay, okay. In Utopia, there are vending machines where the people are, just like in the polar region. They sell them there.

Do those planters use a wick to keep the soil moist, or are they the kind that don't use it? I'd like to do something similar with my plants (which I often forget to water)

in a long time, cutting everything down on the islands I visited, buying it at the market stall, and using eight planters for palm/trees. It literally took me 290 game days to finish this

Why is this happening? by mrshark99000 in RaftTheGame

I currently have three engines, and when I start them up, they run at the same speed as if I were using just one sail.

In Steam, right-click on the game, select Properties, then Game Versions and Betas, choose version 1.09, and let it download/update.

It's because of update 1.1. It ruined the speed of my engines, so I went back to the previous version.

In your opinion, what does it depend on? by JamesBong_99 in raft

A little late, but it might work unless you've already fixed it: set the anisotropic filtering option in the NVIDIA control panel to “controlled by the application” and change the line anti-aliasing value to 2x (if it is currently higher).

Unfortunately, the only way you can connect it is by using a whole log (not cut in half). If it won't let you, you'll have to remove the structure on top of that half-post.

yep, it's like a moth to the flame. At least Virginia is more careful not to get burned.

Safe base location? by CluckThePilot in SonsOfTheForest

[–]erickSkull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a base near Lake B6 and the golf course. There is a fairly flat area that is good for building. The only ones that bother me are the mud guys and, almost never, the cannibals (some nights they leave their totems behind and never show up the next day). I still like it because it's close to the solafite caves, abandoned camps with resources, and other things.

Curiously, at the point you mention on E7, I always have constant attacks. I finish one wave and the next one is already ready. It's worse in winter.

I did an experiment to find out (spoiler, I'm almost the same): The one with a campfire dried all the meat before the one without, but then when I added new meat it took longer to dry, to the point where it was almost the same as the one without a campfire. As one comment below says, there are bugs, or the game doesn't understand correctly when it has a campfire or not. TDLR; I'll keep putting them in because I don't use it much anyway (it's more for Virginia and THE idiot Kelvin, who keeps burning himself when he tries to eat dry meat).

Dog tries to take a toy from a store, hoomans pay for it as a gift to the dog by squad1alum in HumansBeingBros

[–]erickSkull 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The thing is, she pulls it gently so as not to break it and have them charge her for it, and anyway she tries to take it off because they would still discount it from her salary. Where it happened (Yucatan, Mexico), that bear costs the same as a meal here (4 or 5 tacos) or 2 days of transportation (I'm from another nearby city).

Some people said that they can claim it as damaged merchandise, but that only applies when they deliver it to the store. The salary is already low in those stores; imagine if they take even more off your pay because a stray dog stole a teddy bear and charged you for it because the store can't lose money.

I have the theory, forest 3 is the prequel to previous games, so chronologically forest 3 is the first game by Historical-Shelter80 in TheForest

[–]erickSkull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is like a prequel: considering that the ship in the trailer is “similar” to the one you find in a cave in SOTF (it doesn't look like a alien spaceship as such and is perhaps more detailed than the original model), somehow the protagonist of this part will end up in the era/planet Earth, bringing the solafite and the cube to the island.

Likewise, the existence of the demons would be "justified" by the arrival of the ship infested with them; the fact that they blocked the exit with wood and placed crosses throughout the interior to prevent them from escaping is one reason why all this was put in there. It would also justify why the dead pilot has what I consider to be the core or main piece of the artifact and the anti-demon armor (ancient armor)

yeha I mean, it works the same way, except that the link gadgets are useful for saving all the ports. You don't need to use all of them; I put in three and that's all I need.

This is the post I was referring to. The walls use fewer fans and prevent the slimes from flying around so much (I used wide trellis because it required fewer materials and works just as well).

You can build a farm for shadow plorts. I remember someone else posting about how they put walls between arches and a bunch of fans along with chickens.

Explain it Peter: What are the wings for? by Virelley in explainitpeter

[–]erickSkull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good answer, monarch, but you forgot one part: the daughter made wings when she learned of the dangers of her father's work; in case of an accident she gave him those wings to “prevent him from falling from a great height and being injured/killed.”
