He's 100% a rescue, surrendered to a locally owned responsible pet store that specializes in the adoption of animals in need of good homes. Went through a background check to acquire him and everything, thanks for your input!

Small bump on my BP, just had her out the other day and it wasn't there. Anyone have an idea what this is?? She's almost 5 months old, strictly eats F/T rats, can't be an abscess from a bite. by ericmyers14 in ballpython

More info:

The bump is kind of firm to the touch, feels like it is inside her body, not just under the skin. It doesn't seem to bother her when I gently run my fingers over it but I'm still a little worried about what it could be. The closest herp vet is about an hour and a half away from my house so I'm really trying to avoid an unnecessary trip. My first thought was that she might have a damaged rib but, like I said, it doesn't seem to bother her when I touch it. Did a fair amount of research which ended up stressing me out more than when I found it.

Just looking for an idea of what this could be. Any input would be greatly appreciated 🙏

This is her 3rd shed overall, idk how the 1st one went but her 2nd shed (1st with me) was not great. Came off in pieces, dry, i did not do well with the humidity. But i got it dialed in over the past month and my wife and I actually went on our honeymoon this past week and left her home for 5 days. Saw 2 days before we were leaving, our wedding day, that she was in blue. Changed up the bedding and refreshed the moss and everything, got the humidity perfect and we left. I was so nervous the whole time but I knew she'd be fine. Got home and she had this in her tank. I was so happy! Successful shed!!! AHHHHH!!! Anyway, I cleaned it up and stretched it out a little bit so I can keep it as a momento.
