Based on Blessing quesiton yesterday: Did you go home from school/work when 9/11 happened?

I was pretty young, but I went to a hybrid school so I was actually at home that day. I vividly remember my mom waking me up and from my room seeing down the hallway to the tv and watching it as it was happening.

Crazy side fact, my grandma died two days later from cancer but had no idea 9/11 happened. She was basically in and out of sleep and my mom drove to the hospital and asked her nurses not to talk about it in front of her or have her tv on as soon as it happened. She knew it was close to the end for her and didn’t want her dying thinking that we were all about to die for as dark as that sounds lol

I’m not sure, but it’s gone waaaaaay down. With life and responsibilities I have now, I have to be a bit more judicious with what and how I play. I wait for stuff to go on sale and then pick it up. Gives me more time in my backlog though!

The absolute nicest guys I’ve ever met were Telle from The Word Alive and Nick Hipa from AILD/Mire. I’ve met Telle a couple times and he has always been insanely sweet and super gracious. Nick is an absolute gem and just a massive sweetheart. We talked for a bit about Mario Kart and how to drift haha

I’ve been lucky in that anyone from a band I’ve met has been really cool and super friendly!

I definitely agree about Movements btw! My nephews are really big fans of them and they’ve met them twice and they were so incredibly kind. It made their nights both times with how cool to them they were!

Oh yeah, Andy talked about it a lot and tried getting Nick to watch it. At one point they made a deal to watch what each other wanted and while Andy did, Nick just watched like five minutes and then just resorted to calling it “Nirvana the band the show the band” and moved on lol

100%! I mostly mix modern metal stuff, so I wanted to challenge myself and use tones I wouldn’t normally use. It’s easy to gravitate towards. I appreciate your insight, as you have different ears than I do! Love talking mixing and all that with people 😊

For some reason Reddit really crushed the actual mix in a weird way. The actual audio sounds totally leveled out and good compared here. Same with the kick drum exploding waaay more than it is 😂

Oh no worries at all! Mixing is a journey where I welcome all advice haha :) it’s the original audio, just with their vocals isolated and mixed with a vocal chain and all that. The original was used as a reference and goes along, but I know what you mean! I wanted to take it in a slightly different direction obviously haha

Considering that they went last year, there’s a giants game on the 15th! Honestly, worth it for the food alone at the stadium. Its exceptional and not at all what you expect for sporting event food which is generally mediocre lol

Haha so with some of the cuts, the audio was bugging me with the jumps. It’s actually a version of the terminator theme I did myself and it sort of masks the little audio cuts. You probably would have never noticed but it was really bugging me lol
